Lu Zhen didn't tarry for long as he put on more layers of clothes and left together with Shade.
As they got outside, Lu Zhen stopped at the front door and bent over a little to be on eye level with the wolf.
"Do you think you will be able to go out like this or will the weather hurt you?" He didn't want to do something that might end up hurting the wolf.
Even though he had taken it as his mount, he would not mistreat it. Since it was his companion, it had become a comrade he must protect.
Shade seemed to feel his concern and looked at the snow outside. Even though it was cold, it had a thick skin and thick fur that could keep the cold away.
Thus, the wolf nudged Lu Zhen a little with its snout and continued to walk outside. This was a kind of message telling him that it was fine to go outside.
The man and wolf walked outside and headed towards the gate of the community without looking back.
