Chapter 2 - Chapter 2—Status?

The faint glow of the screen returned, flickering like a mischievous candle flame.

Sirzechs squinted. "Alright… let's see what you've got for me, Status."

Another set of windows unfolded like a row of report cards he hadn't studied for:

Status

Name: Sirzechs Gremory

Race: Pure-blooded Devil

Age: 6

Level: 10 (0/1100)

Health: 100/100

Demonic Power: 1000/1000

Physique: E

Mind: E

He could barely breathe. This was… the Gamer System. Like something straight out of his old world's stories.

But how the hell does this System works there are no stats like a normal gamer system instead there are this letters.

Oi system, Explain.

>{Hello, host}

>{the gamer system measures power in a letter system which is a weighted Scale based on race, ranks going from F to SSS class.}

>{After a sufficient amount of progress is made in a particular stat, the letter grade will increase. Once you advance from C, it will move to B-, then B, B+, A-, and so on. Each stat is progressively more difficult to reach than the last. These letters are weighted by race. A human at S rank, may only be a D rank to another more powerful race.}

>{Other skills obtained later are on a numerical scale, 1-10. After obtaining a certain proficiency, understanding, and comfortability, a skill rank will advance to the next number. Skills (both active and passive), at rank 10 are considered mastered and cannot be advanced further.}

>{Skills: These are basic skills that can be obtained through rewards, repetitive actions, or given abilities. Skills eligible for Fusion will glow.}

Alright than let's see what all skills I have.

>{Skill Unlocked: Gamer's Altered Mind (Rank X)

Skill Unlocked: Gamer's Altered Body (Rank X)

Skill Unlocked: Observe (Rank 1)

Skill Unlocked: Inventory}

>{Bloodline skill Unlocked: Power of destruction (Rank 2)

Bloodline skill Unlocked: Demonic Power Manipulation and Refinement (Rank 3)}

Hmm, This looks good, lets get a detailed explanation of the skills. Sirzechs focuses on the skill and New notifications start appearing.

{Gamer's Altered Mind (Rank X)

Your mind is immune to all forms of mental interference, illusions, domination, possession, and fear-based control. Emotional manipulation is suppressed unless you choose to experience it. Your cognitive function is unaffected by fatigue. You may continue thinking, analyzing, and reasoning at full capacity even in the face of unconsciousness or imminent death.}

Sirzechs blinked. "So… no more mental breakdowns? No more being brainwashed by some old geezer or tentacle monster?"

He paused. Then pondered. "Is that why Even knowing that I died in my previous life except some sadness and embarrassment I am not mopping around depressed?"

{Gamer's Altered Body (Rank X)

Your body possesses limitless physical and spiritual growth potential, provided you follow paths that cultivate it. You may grow without restriction so long as your choices are consistent with that growth. Sleeping for at least eight hours will completely restore your health, stamina, and magic.}

Sirzechs stared.

"Wait, wait, WAIT—so if I stab myself in the leg, then go take a nap, I'll wake up fine?!"

He glanced around the room. His hand twitched toward the letter opener on his desk.

"…Okay, calm down, Sirzechs. You're six. Don't give your parents a heart attack."

{Observe (Rank 1)

Allows you to gather basic information about a person, creature, or object you focus on. At Rank 1, displays only name, classification, Ability and general threat level. Threat levels are on the same letter scale as above, and is relative to your current power and abilities. Further information may unlock with repeated use or higher proficiency.}

Sirzechs pointed his tiny hand at the stuffed dragon doll on his shelf.

"Observe!"

[Target: Fluffy the Dragon.

Type: Plushie.

Abilities: Being soft. Looking adorable.

Threat level: None.]

Sirzechs snorted so hard he nearly woke the whole mansion. "Truly… a fearsome beast. I must prepare."

{The Inventory stores material objects that can be spatially stabilized and preserved. Items will remain in stasis until removed. Certain itemns can stack up to x99. There are no weight restrictions. Size restrictions apply to items larger than a 10'x10'x10 cube. Maximum slot capacity is determined by System Tier. Additional slots, compression upgrades, or personalized loadouts may be unlocked through quests, skills, or item fusion. Sentient beings cannot be stored.}

{Level Progression Explanation

Leveling up increases total system integration and soul body synchronization. At specific milestone levels, users will receive:

Stat Upgrade Runes: Instantly boost a chosen stat by a certain amount

Skill Upgrade Runes: Increase a learned skill's rank by a certain amount

Additional milestone rewards may include perk unlocks, new interface access, or hidden functions. Advancement is holistic and nonlinear}

{Power of destruction (Rank 2)

The Power of Destruction is a type of Demonic Energy that is destructive by nature, grants its users great offensive power and can completely annihilate things when used. The Power of Destruction can cut down even the consciousness and souls of living creatures}

{Demonic energy manipulation and Refinement (Rank 3)

[Ding!]

> [Tutorial Quest Completed]

Objective: check your status.

Rewards: +100 EXP

Sirzechs squinted at the glowing box floating smugly in the air.

"…You're telling me the system actually gave me a tutorial quest? What is this, a shonen manga MMO expansion pack?"

Still, his eyes gleamed with curiosity. If this was like the games he used to play, then… grinding time.

He hopped out of bed—well, more like rolled out and face-planted onto the floor. "Ugh. Note to self: Still trapped in a six-year-old body."

He pointed his tiny finger at the nearest object. "Observe!"

[Target: Pillow.

Classification: Object.

Abilities: Comfort. Sleep induction.

Threat Level: None.]

"…Sleep induction? Bruh. My pillow is officially a sleep demon."

Cue ten minutes of him spamming Observe on everything in his room:

[Target: Wardrobe. Threat level: don't lock yourself inside.]

[Target: Venelana's fancy vase. Threat Level: …you don't even want to find out.]

[Target: Sirzechs Gremory. Threat Level: Yourself. Good luck with that.]

By the time he finished, his Observe skill dinged up to Rank 2.

[Ding!] Skill Proficiency increased. Able to check the level of Target if any.

Sirzechs pumped his fist. "Yes! Power-leveling on household furniture! Take that, canon Sirzechs!"

He clenched his tiny fist, summoning a flicker of crimson-black energy. The aura sizzled, hungry, the infamous Power of Destruction condensed into a spark. Even a casual flick could probably erase half the furniture.

He gulped. "Okay… maybe don't test that indoors."

By the time dawn crept over the crimson skies of the Underworld, He was utterly drained—not physically, but from sheer excitement.

He flopped back onto his bed, crimson hair messy, grinning like an idiot.

To anyone peeking in, he looked like a kid daydreaming about candy.

But no—this was far bigger.

He was a gamer.

And with that came his greatest cheat of all: plot armor with patch notes.
