Chapter 33 - Cold reunion

Saintclaire Mansion,

Julian, followed by several bodyguards, pulled up to the mansion.

He exited the car, the gravel crunching beneath his shoes, and stood in front for a minute. Warren and everyone else stayed still and didn't dare to disturb him, giving him space to think. Nobody wanted to be a victim of his wrath when he was angry.

Julian's gaze flicked to the grand water fountain in the center of the circular driveway. Its gentle trickle was the only sound in the whole mansion.

He tilted his head toward the sky, studying the stars scattered across the night. Dragging his gaze back to the gloomy mansion, a flicker of annoyance travelled through his eyes.

He exhaled heavily.

"Fuck this."

The mansion doors opened with a quiet groan as he stepped inside. In the lavish living room, two middle-aged people sat across from each other in stiff silence.

"Mom. Dad." His voice was flat.
