Chapter 5 - THE BEGINNING

The PNHS academy received a message from the Mandaue police government: "We need the elite warriors' help, we're struggling here." The school head immediately pressed the alarm and called all the elite warriors (Boy Scouts). As they arrived at the meeting lab, the school head explained the situation.

Mr. Shawn came in to assist with communication while the elites were fighting. They boarded the armored bus and headed to Mandaue. Upon arrival, the school head ordered one of the teachers, assigned to monitor the screens, to activate the system to support the elites' mission. As the screen lit up, Mr. Shawn saw his students fighting.

"Why are they over there? They were supposed to be on an outing!" the school head exclaimed in shock. A member of the school division then ordered the elites to rescue the students first.

As Zane was fighting, a creature was about to strike him from behind, but thankfully, Akuma saved him with a fire fist.

Akira fought five aliens, but she didn't fight back. She was just running until a lightning strike killed one of the aliens. She looked up and saw Akashi.

"Thanks, Akashi," she said, standing up. "I'll heal everyone. Protect me."

She clasped her hands together as though praying. A few seconds later, wings appeared on her back, and feathers fell from them. Each feather flew through the injured people, healing them.

Amihan then summoned a huge tornado to strike the enemy.

Mayari used her enhanced vision to detect large amounts of smoke, helping avoid ambushes.

Benedicto used his portal to transport everyone to safety.

Akashi flew into the sky, using lightning to support his weight. He spotted a gathering of aliens and raised his hand, aiming at the location. However, just as he was about to unleash his power, a huge purple lightning ball aimed at him. Thankfully, Alyas (a pro warrior) saved him with his Santelmo, a powerful fireball.

Back at the academy, Shawn contacted Kuya Benjo, the driver, and asked, "Why are you in Mandaue?" Kuya Benjo replied, "We were supposed to go home, but this happened, and I couldn't stop the students from fighting back."

But then, the second wave of aliens arrived, and they were even stronger. All the pro warriors protected the students, but the elite warriors were getting beaten up.

Ronald, also a pro warrior, scolded the students, saying, "What are you doing? It's dangerous!"

As the battle raged on, the elite warriors were growing weary. Each of them had pushed themselves to their limits, but the second wave of aliens was unlike anything they'd faced before. Their strength and numbers overwhelmed the warriors, and soon, the tide of the battle turned against them.

Zane had been knocked to the ground, bruised and battered, struggling to regain his footing as one of the aliens raised its weapon. Akira had taken several hits, her body sore and exhausted from running, her wings beginning to fade. Amihan's tornado had lost its power, dissipating in the heavy air, leaving her drained and vulnerable. Mayari was struggling to keep her enhanced vision sharp, but the constant smoke and debris were making it difficult to focus. Benedicto's portal seemed to be malfunctioning, failing to transport anyone to safety.

Alyas was no longer able to summon his Santelmo with the same ferocity. He was gasping for air, his energy spent, his flames flickering weakly. Akashi, too, was on the verge of collapse, his lightning bolts weakening with each strike, his body trembling from the effort. Even the pro warriors who had been protecting the students were beginning to show signs of exhaustion.

"Is this it?" Akira whispered, looking around at her fallen comrades, all of them bruised and bloodied. "Are we really going to lose?"

Ronald, though still fighting with all his might, could see the doubt in the eyes of the elite warriors. They had fought bravely, but they were only human. Their strength was waning, and the aliens kept coming.

"We can't hold them off forever!" Ronald shouted, his voice rough with desperation. "We need a miracle!"

The battlefield felt like it was closing in on them. The elites were beaten, on the edge of giving up, when they heard the sound of a familiar voice cutting through the chaos.

"Stay strong!" It was the school head, his voice booming over the comms. "You have the power within you! We believe in you!"

For a moment, the elites stood still, hearing the school head's words. The weight of their exhaustion and fear lifted, just a little. But it wasn't enough.

The aliens were advancing, and even though they had moments of hope, the battlefield was looking bleaker by the second. "We're not done yet," Zane muttered through clenched teeth, forcing himself back onto his feet. "We've got to keep fighting."

The elites exchanged glances, their resolve shaken but not broken. The second wave of aliens were stronger, but they knew they couldn't give up. The fate of the students, the city, and the academy rested in their hands.

"We're not losing," Akira said firmly, raising her hand to summon her wings again. "Not today."

But even as they braced for the next onslaught, the battle was far from over, and the odds seemed impossible.

The battlefield had turned into a chaotic swirl of battle cries, blasts of energy, and the clash of weapons. The elite warriors, bruised and battered, continued to hold their ground, refusing to back down despite the overwhelming odds. Akira, though struggling, kept her wings flapping weakly, her focus now purely on keeping the injured alive. But around her, the true battle was being fought by the pro warriors and the students who had the courage to stand beside them.

Ronald, ever the leader, fought with everything he had. His sword moved in fluid arcs, cutting down alien after alien. His movements were practiced, precise, but the constant onslaught was starting to wear on him. He saw Alyas beside him, summoning smaller fireballs now, his Santelmo barely holding together. "Keep going, Alyas! We can't stop!" Ronald shouted, deflecting another alien's strike.

Alyas, gasping for air, nodded, though his energy was running low. He could feel his fire magic growing weaker with each passing second, but he wasn't about to stop. With a fierce grunt, he hurled a weak Santelmo at a group of advancing aliens, the fireball exploding in a burst of light that only slowed them for a moment.

Benedicto was teleporting left and right, but his portals were becoming sluggish. Each jump he made was more exhausting than the last, and he could feel the strain on his body. "I need a moment!" he shouted, falling to one knee as sweat streamed down his face. He had to catch his breath, but the aliens were relentless. He could hear their growls as they advanced, and his heart sank.

Amihan, despite the exhaustion weighing heavily on her, summoned another tornado—a smaller one this time—but the wind barely picked up before it faltered, dissipating as quickly as it had appeared. She stumbled back, trying to catch her breath, but another alien was already charging toward her. Instinctively, she sent a blast of wind in its direction, knocking it back, but it wasn't enough to stop the tide of enemies.

Zane, bloodied and bruised, stood tall, his fists clenched. His body ached, his muscles screaming in protest, but he had to keep fighting. "We can't let them take us," he muttered under his breath, ducking a heavy alien strike and retaliating with a swift punch to the creature's side. It staggered but didn't fall, and Zane gritted his teeth, knowing that every attack was pushing him further toward his limits.

Mayari, her enhanced vision straining under the thick smoke and debris, scanned the battlefield, looking for any signs of weakness in the aliens. The air was thick with burning ash, making it harder to see, but she pushed through. "To the left! We've got more coming!" she yelled, pointing toward a group of aliens attempting to flank them. Her warning gave the others just enough time to regroup and push back.

As shane keeps protecting her classmate by shield shes almost at her limit same as the other student

Akashi, hovering high above, summoned another bolt of lightning, but it was weaker than before. His body trembled with exhaustion, but his resolve remained unshaken. "We can still win this!" he shouted, his voice barely audible over the thunderclaps and explosions around him. He shot another bolt of lightning at an alien commander, knocking it out of the sky, but more kept coming, seemingly endless.

The second wave of aliens seemed to grow in strength with every passing minute, and despite the pro warriors' best efforts, it was clear that the tide of battle was beginning to turn. Each strike from the aliens felt more powerful, and their numbers seemed to multiply by the second. The elite warriors were struggling to keep up, their bodies beaten and worn.

"Stay together!" Ronald commanded, rallying his group. "We can't let them pick us off one by one."

Zane glanced toward the others—his comrades were still fighting, but they were all close to the brink. He could see Akira still healing the wounded, but her energy was fading, and she was no longer able to move as quickly. Akashi was high in the sky, but his movements were slowing. Alyas was breathing heavily, his flames dimming. They were all reaching their limits, and the second wave was only growing stronger.

As the aliens continued their relentless assault, the students, some of whom had been part of the mission to rescue their peers, started to pick up the slack. They were not as experienced as the pro warriors, but their courage was undeniable. One student, young but fierce, launched a series of rapid strikes with his staff, knocking down two aliens before being overrun. Another student, an agile fighter, used a set of knives to cut down the alien attackers, but she was forced to retreat when a larger creature charged at her.

Even though they were not as skilled as the pro warriors, the students were fighting with everything they had, just as the elite warriors were. But despite their bravery, the odds were quickly turning against them. The second wave of aliens had numbers, strength, and a relentless hunger to win.

"We can't keep this up forever!" Alyas shouted, his voice cracking with exhaustion. "We need reinforcements!"
