Chapter 62 - The Apology He Never Said

[ALFIO'S POV]

He didn't speak.

Just grabbed my arm—rough, bruising—and dragged me through the hallway like I was weightless.Like I didn't matter. I stumbled behind him, barefoot, the rug burning against my soles. Tried to say something.

Anything.

He kicked open the bedroom door, and the cold air hit me harder than the silence between us. And then—without a word.

Without looking at me. Without even bothering to soften his grip—He shoved me onto the bed.

Didn't speak.Didn't care.

This wasn't dominance. This wasn't power. This was punishment. And I didn't even know what I'd done.

Maybe I breathed too loud. Maybe I existed too softly. But I knew one thing—Tonight, I wasn't a person to him.

I was a void to fill.An ache to silence.

And when it was over, he didn't look back. He just sat at the edge of the bed, lit a cigarette, and stared into the dark like he hadn't just broken someone.
