Chapter 112 - The Cloud Quintet Reunited! The Terrifying Imbibitor Lunae!

Guinaifen's Livestream

The moment Guinaifen clicked into the video, the live viewer count had already surpassed 100,000+.

[Chat]

"No way! It just got released!"

"I clicked the second I got the notification!"

"How are you guys so fast?!"

Even before the screen lit up, comments flooded in:

"First!"

"Been camping on Yu Ling's page—finally caught it!"

"March 7th here, ready to witness Dan Heng's past!"

"Trailblazer reporting in!"

"Luofu citizen here for the lore!"

"Veteran from the Cloud Quintet era—here to relive the memories!"

"Dan Heng here, watching my own backstory~"

Meanwhile, March 7th and the others had also received the notification.

March immediately rushed to leave a comment—only for it to drown in a sea of copycats and flashy spam.

Frustrated, she puffed her cheeks.

"Ugh! When is Yu Ling gonna add verified badges? The real March 7th is less popular than the fakes!"

Dan Heng calmly interjected, "March, quiet. It's starting."

The screen flickered to life—

The Past Revealed

The short film opened on the dragon statue of the Imbibitor Lunae.

Just as viewers expected a slow, solemn intro—

Four hands suddenly reached into the frame, clinking wine cups together.

Each gesture carried a different emotion—playful, serene, lively, reluctant.

Then—the full figures of four people appeared.

Dan Heng's jaw dropped.

March 7th and Stelle gasped.

Ahead of them, Jing Yuan, Jingliu, and Blade—who had been walking—froze mid-step.

Jingliu tore off her blindfold, teleporting behind March to stare at the projection.

"So… it really is from that time."

Jing Yuan and Blade joined, their expressions briefly flickering with nostalgia.

On screen, from left to right:

- Jing Yuan, smirking as he raised his cup.

- Jingliu, serene as she sipped.

- Baiheng, grinning brightly.

- Yingxing (Blade), pretending to scowl but drinking anyway.

Sunlight filtered through the trees—a moment frozen in warmth.

Chat exploded:

"OPENING SCENE ALREADY A BOMBSHELL?!"

"THIS IS THE CLOUD QUINTET?! FOR REAL?!"

"That's Blade on the right?! He looks WAY older now—his hair's white!"

"The Foxian girl is part of them too?! She's adorable!"

The film wasn't set in the present—it was a memory.

Jing Yuan, Jingliu, and Blade quickly schooled their expressions.

Then—Baiheng's voice rang out, playful:

"Yingxing, stop sulking!"

"And you, 'Lunae'—lighten up!"

At her words—

- Jingliu's fist clenched.

- Blade gripped his forehead like he was in pain.

March tensed. "Are they about to have a… breakdown?"

Jing Yuan smoothly defused it:

"Baiheng, don't tease them."

"They're still hung up on losing to Jingliu last time."

Jingliu smirked. "Want a rematch? I'm game."

The Memory Shifts

Petals scattered as the scene transitioned—

The four turned toward Dan Heng—or rather, the Imbibitor Lunae's seat.

But instead of the past Lunae, it was present-day Dan Heng, there to mourn.

He raised a cup—then poured it onto the ground in tribute.

A small, bittersweet smile.

Viewers were stunned:

"Jingliu used to be this gentle?!"

"So THIS was the Cloud Quintet era?!"

"They were so close… What HAPPENED?!"

"Baiheng's so cute! Will she be playable?!"

"BLADE WAS YINGXING?! But Yingxing was a short-life species—how'd he become… this?!"

"This hurts… seeing them like this vs. now…"

....

As Dan Heng turned to leave—

Black shadows suddenly engulfed the sky.

The warm hues shattered—replaced by chilling darkness.

Dan Heng's eyes widened—

A spear tip pressed against his throat before he could react.

Chat panicked:

"WHAT'S HAPPENING?!"

"Dan Heng didn't even sense it—how strong IS this enemy?!"

"Another Emanator of Destruction?!"

"JING YUAN, HELP—"

Then—the attacker stepped into view.

Every viewer's blood ran cold.

The man resembled Dan Heng—but his eyes were hollow, sharper than his blade.

His aura was frost incarnate.

Dragon horns.

Regal robes.

This was—

The previous Imbibitor Lunae.

Dan Feng.

Dan Heng closed his eyes. "I should've known."

Dan Feng's voice was a whisper of ice:

"The cosmos is vast… but it has nothing to do with us."

He forced Dan Heng's chin up with his spear, face-to-face.

"The Dragon Sovereign's legacy is not yours to discard."

"It endures like the sea—unchanging for eternity."

Chat lost it:

"DAN FENG'S ALIVE?!"

"Is this a ghost? A memory?!"

"IS HE TRYING TO POSSESS DAN HENG?!"

"This Dan Feng is TERRIFYING… Our little Dan Heng is way softer!"

Dan Heng's expression tightened—this wasn't just a vision.

This was his recurring nightmare.

Beside him, Jingliu sighed softly.

This "Dan Feng" wasn't real.

The true Imbibitor Lunae—the stubborn, ruthless Dan Feng—would never force his burdens onto his reincarnation.

This was Dan Heng's own guilt manifesting.

But now—she wondered.

What choice would this generation's Lunae make?
