Chapter 194 - Zero Points! Negative Points! Dr. Ratio’s Skills Are Absolutely Ridiculous, Right?

Xiaoguizi's Livestream

In the space station, the flickering blue infernal flame continued to evade capture.

With Dr. Ratio's assistance, it had been cornered into the final layer of space.

Dr. Ratio remarked coldly, "It seems this chase has reached its end."

"It's over."

The infernal flame had weakened to the point where it could barely maintain its form.

Yet, Duke Inferno's voice still resonated with a deep, ominous tone:

"Foolish ignoramuses, blindly chasing after flames—little do you know the gift of destruction already lies at your feet."

"No wonder even the Lord's Legion failed to purify this place. Very well, I shall concede my recklessness... for now."

"But next time, I shall visit in person and offer you all a funeral pyre of sin with my infernal flames."

Dr. Ratio crossed his arms and observed dispassionately:

"The faint consciousness residing within has dissipated. Duke Inferno has abandoned this flame..."

"Hm? Wait—"

Stelle stepped forward, attempting to touch the flame—

But the moment her fingers brushed against it, the fire coiled around her arm like a living thing, refusing to let go no matter how hard she shook it.

Suddenly, the flame detached on its own, surging upward and transforming into multiple warp-fire barriers!

A dazzling array of monsters descended from above—

Voidrangers.

Mara-Struck from the Xianzhou.

Even Belobog's Automaton Soldiers!

All of them lunged at Stelle and Dr. Ratio simultaneously.

[Combat Start]

In the lower-left corner, a new trial character appeared: Dr. Ratio!

At the same time, his voice rang out:

"Tch... such a tedious stalling tactic. Enough already."

Xiaoguizi immediately perked up, sitting straight in her chair.

"Folks, it's confirmed now—Dr. Ratio is the final limited 5-star of Version 1.0!"

"As for his skills... well, we're about to test them firsthand!"

"Dr. Ratio is a scholar, so I assume his abilities are knowledge-based."

"And as a scholar, it's only natural that he's also jacked, right?"

"Took a break from studying to check out Xiaoguizi's stream."

"What's his weapon? Dual pistols? A bow? A bat?"

"This man's a god—his combat style's gotta be lethally unique..."

Guinaifen first skimmed through Dr. Ratio's skill descriptions.

After roughly understanding the mechanics, she began explaining to her viewers:

"Dr. Ratio is a Hunt-path Imaginary character. His basic attack is called [Knowledge is Power]."

"Nothing too special here—just your standard Star Rail auto-attack."

When it was Dr. Ratio's turn, Guinaifen tapped the basic attack to showcase its animation.

To everyone's surprise—

Dr. Ratio pulled out a thick, hardcover book and slammed it straight into the Voidranger's face—as if the book were a brick!

"Ohhh... so that's what 'Knowledge is Power' means?!" Guinaifen scratched her head in disbelief.

Next up: Skill.

When she selected it, Dr. Ratio opened his book, pondering its contents while a faint glow materialized in his other hand—

A piece of chalk.

"Let me test you."

From the skill description, Guinaifen knew it was a single-target attack.

But when she saw the book and chalk, a wild thought crossed her mind—

No way...

He's not actually going to throw the chalk as a weapon, is he?!

Dr. Ratio pointed forward—

A three-dimensional geometric diagram (complete with line segments) materialized above the enemy before exploding violently.

"Phew... at least he didn't throw the chalk."

"That would've been too ridiculous—"

Just as she thought this—

A school bell chime echoed.

Dr. Ratio's portrait flashed on-screen alongside the text:

[I Think, Therefore I Am.]

Then—

He gripped the chalk like a dagger and hurled it forward with terrifying force!

"ZERO POINTS!"

"GET OUT!"

The chalk streaked through the air like a high-speed projectile, even emitting a bluish trail as if it were a missile, not a writing tool.

"WHAT?!"

"HE ACTUALLY THREW IT?!"

Guinaifen's jaw dropped.

The chat exploded.

"How does a chalk throw feel so satisfying?!"

"This is the most lethal school supply I've ever seen!"

"Even the school bell sound effect?! Dr. Ratio, you—"

"A Hunt DPS whose attack is throwing chalk? If this weren't Honkai: Star Rail, I'd be wheezing—"

"Somehow... I love him even more now."

"PTSD from my school days kicking in..."

"I was reviewing my notes when this popped up—now I'm sweating bullets."

By the end of the battle, both Guinaifen and her viewers were traumatized by the sheer volume of "ZERO POINTS!" and "NEGATIVE MARKS!" echoing in their minds.

Then came the Ultimate.

[To Perceive is To Exist.]

A massive stone pillar descended from the sky.

Dr. Ratio measured its angle with his hand as a ruler, while equations and geometric diagrams flickered across the screen.

"Knowledge is the measure of all things. It shall exhaust truth and eradicate falsehood."

As he adjusted the angle with a flick of his finger—

The pillar slammed down with pinpoint precision, crushing the targeted enemy beneath it.

"BOOM!"

Debris and dust scattered.

Dr. Ratio snapped his book shut and walked away—

Without even glancing at the destruction behind him.

...

"A true pro never looks at the explosion?"

"Calculated to hit ONLY one enemy... brutal."

"Those impact effects look PAINFUL."

"Holy hell, Yu Ling knows how to make combat satisfying!"

"Grading enemies mid-fight? Peak Dr. Ratio behavior."

"Welp, I'm pulling. No choice now."

"My phone now has a game where a tornado is single-target and a stone pillar is single-target..."

...

Guinaifen wiped her forehead, muttering:

"This skill design is... way ahead of its time."

"Absolutely unhinged!"

"But damn... the impact feels so good."

Soon, the battle concluded—

And Guinaifen found herself wanting more.

However, her attention quickly returned to the story.

As the infernal flames dissipated, a figure materialized mid-air—

Asta, who had been missing since her teleportation.

Stelle rushed forward to catch her, marking the end of the mission's challenge.

Screwllum nodded approvingly.

"You've done well. Thank you."

"Rest assured, Miss Asta is unharmed—only slightly shaken. She's recovering in the medical bay."

"Additionally, during your pursuit, Security located the other missing victims. Conclusion: All are safe."

"With this matter resolved, the remaining unrest can be handled internally. On behalf of Herta, I extend my gratitude for your efforts."

"However... one question remains unanswered."

"And that is for me to investigate."

The scene shifted—

Somewhere in the Seclusion Zone, a flicker of infernal flame seeped from the walls, attempting to escape—

Only to be trapped inside a transparent container.

Holding it was Dr. Ratio.

And behind him—

Screwllum emerged leisurely.

"I've been expecting you."

Dr. Ratio pocketed the flame and quipped:

"The aftermath still lingers. Don't you have duties to attend to? Or does the space station's safety not concern you?"

"Answer: It concerns me greatly. After all, the true architect of this incident... is here."

This revelation sent chills down everyone's spines.

What did Screwllum mean?

Was this crisis not just Duke Inferno's doing—but also tied to Dr. Ratio?

Screwllum continued:

"Objectively speaking, aside from minor psychological distress, no personnel suffered physical harm. This is... uncharacteristic of the Annihilation Gang."

"Logic: A third party intervened to save them."

Dr. Ratio scoffed.

"Had I not obtained a sample of the spirit flame and altered its teleportation parameters, those victims would already be space debris."

...

"HOLY CRAP! So Dr. Ratio was the secret savior?!"

"No wonder the Annihilation Gang was 'softer' than Phantylia!"

"Yeah, I thought it was weird nobody died—turns out I was missing the bigger picture!"

"Sassy but kind-hearted? I'm in love."

"Bro's actually a sweetheart. Must pull!"

...

Guinaifen exhaled deeply.

This alone was reason enough to pull for Dr. Ratio.

Just as she prepared to check his banner after the dialogue ended—

A notification popped up on her stream overlay:
