Chapter 6 - The second Impact.

RWHOOOOOOOOM!

Emerging from his slumber to the resonant echo of a crashing sound, the lone boy inside the cabin found the door wide open, three distinct smoke trails weaving into the unknown.

"Where did they go? Come on, Elliot, let's find them!" The boy put the cat on his shoulders and rushed out the door.

Navigating towards the most conspicuous smoke trail, he noticed other trails in the nearby distance. Abruptly, Elliot leapt out from his shoulder and darted deeper into the forest.

"Hold on, girl, wait up!" the boy called out, his pursuit ignited by curiosity and urgency.

Eventually he reached Elliot, the boy's attention was captivated by an unearthly sight-an ancient stone embedded in the earth no bigger then his hand.

"A meteorite!" he exclaimed in awe, drawn closer by the inexplicable force.

His senses and thoughts raced in tandem, an electric anticipation seizing him. Without fully comprehending, the boy extended his hand to touch the meteorite. And in that moment, everything faded to black

As the night came to an end, it seemed the three boys did as well...

Starting the next morning, they would no longer be the same. . .
