The following day, after their discussion, the Straw Hats made a crucial decision to split their crew into two groups. The first group would embark on a perilous journey to confront the self-proclaimed god of Skypiea, Enel, while the second group would search for the lost gold.

To face Enel, Ikki chose Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Chopper, Wyper, Bon Clay, and Sabo. He hoped that the challenge of fighting a Logia Devil Fruit user would help awaken their latent Armament Haki. Sabo's role was to guide and assist them, a responsibility Ikki entrusted to him after the rest of the crew unanimously objected to Ikki putting himself in harm's way.

Just before they parted ways, Sabo turned to Ikki. "Ikki, you said that coming to Skypiea would help me remember things," he said, a hint of desperation in his voice.

Ikki smiled gently. "You're right about your memory," he replied. "We can recover it at any time, but it's a painful process, so let's wait until we're finished with Skypiea. We can deal with it then." He then handed Sabo a large, sealed envelope. "When you're ready to get your memories back, all you have to do is open this," he instructed. Sabo nodded, took the envelope, and led his group away.

After the two groups separated, Ikki led his team into the ruins of the ancient city of Shandora. Though the city's gold had long since been looted, the giant golden bell, the city's greatest treasure, remained, perched at the top of a gigantic beanstalk that towered over the ruins.

Nami's eyes, wide with greed, had already transformed into the symbol for Berries. "If we find all that gold, we'll never have to worry about money again!" she exclaimed, planting a kiss on Merry's cheek. "We'll even have enough money to fix you up, Merry!"

Merry, the ship spirit, shook his head sadly. "I don't think I can be repaired," he said, his voice full of sorrow. "The keel already has cracks. My life is in danger. What I really want is for all of you to find a new ship, one that's stronger than me, that can take you through the Grand Line."

Hearing Merry's words, Ikki smiled and affectionately patted his head. "Don't you worry about that," he said. "We'll find a new one. Our next stop is Water 7, the biggest shipyard in the world! You'll get an amazing new boat there, I promise."

As Ikki finished speaking, a cluster of white orbs materialized around them. A sinister cackle echoed through the air. "Hehehehehe," a voice chuckled from within one of the orbs. "I heard that Shura failed. He must have been defeated by you Blue Sea people!"

Ikki immediately recognized the voice as that of a priest, most likely Satori. "Come on, Blue Sea people," the voice continued. "If you can pass my trial of balls, I'll let you go. If not, you'll die right here!"

A barrage of white spheres hurtled towards Ikki and his crew. Ikki instinctively raised his hand, summoning Mjolnir, ready to clear them out in a single strike. Before he could act, however, a pillar of fire erupted from the sky, incinerating every single orb, including Satori.

Ikki looked up and saw Ace descending from the sky, his dragon wings spread wide. Ace's expression was arrogant and cold, and a strange, jagged lightning pattern was tattooed on his face. Ikki knew instantly that this was not the real Ace, but the evil persona of Ace.

"Ikki! I finally found you!" the evil persona of Ace declared as he landed.

"You used the Tiger Talisman," Ikki said, a hint of disappointment in his voice. "Are you in trouble?"

Evil Ace smirked. "That idiot got himself captured!" he sneered.

Just then, a Den Den Mushi tucked into Ace's pocket began to ring. Ikki picked it up and was met with Garp's frantic voice.

"Hey! Ikki, where are you?!" Garp shouted.

"I'm on Skypiea, what's wrong?" Ikki asked, his confusion evident.

"Ace has been captured," Garp said, his voice now lower and more serious. "The Marines have him, and they're going to execute him soon. You know what that means!"

Ikki glanced at Evil Ace, who was listening intently. So, the real Ace had been captured, just as he'd predicted. "You want me to rescue him?" Ikki asked.

"No," Garp's voice boomed. "I want you to find the evil persona of Ace and cause a huge commotion as the only son of Gold Roger!"

Ikki was stunned by Garp's plan. He instantly understood the logic behind it. If the world saw the heir to the Pirate King causing havoc, it would create the perfect distraction for Garp and Sengoku to quietly orchestrate the rescue of the good-natured Ace.

Evil Ace, who had been listening to the conversation, also understood the plan and fully supported it. He had come to Ikki for this exact purpose: to cause chaos together.

Evil Ace took the Den Den Mushi from Ikki's hand. "Don't worry," he said in a low, sinister tone. "I'll make sure the world never forgets my name: Gol D. Ace!" Without another word, Garp hung up.

"Alright, you've heard it all. Come with me," Evil Ace said, glancing at Nami and the others behind Ikki.

Ikki nodded to his crew. "Ace and I have to go do something," he explained.

Having overheard the conversation, Nami and the others understood the urgency. They knew that saving Ace was the priority. To ensure they could protect themselves, Ikki entrusted Mjolnir to Captain America, as he was the only one worthy of wielding the hammer. With his mastery of two kinds of Haki and the power of Thor's Hammer, Captain America would be more than a match for Enel. After a few final instructions, Ikki and Evil Ace flew off.

High in the air, Ikki turned to Evil Ace. "You came to me for a reason," he said. "You must already have a plan, right?"

A wicked smile spread across Evil Ace's face. "I have three targets," he said. "The Holy Land Mariejois, Impel Down, and Enies Lobby. Which one should we hit first?"

Ikki was speechless. These three locations were the exact places Luffy would eventually have to go. "What's on your mind?" Ikki asked, though he already had a sinking suspicion.

"My plan is to go to Impel Down," Evil Ace said, his eyes narrowing. "Blackbeard wants to go there to find a new crew. Well, let's go there first and kill all the pirates he wants to recruit."

At the same time, at Marine Headquarters, Garp hung up the Den Den Mushi. "That's enough," he said to Fleet Admiral Sengoku. "Now all we have to do is wait for the news about the evil Ace."

"Good," Sengoku replied, nodding. "It's time for us to get ready. The show must go on." Sengoku then gave the order to summon a massive number of Marine soldiers and prepare to stage a battle against the Whitebeard Pirates.
