Chapter 50 - At the restaurant

The air outside the spa was crisp, touched with the faint scent of lavender and sea salt drifting from the luxurious establishment they had just exited. Manhattan's afternoon bustle roared in the background, but within their little bubble of privilege and polish, everything felt hushed and deliberate. The golden sun filtered through the towering skyline, bouncing off glass buildings like diamonds catching fire.

Anastasia stepped onto the pavement, her fingers brushing over her polished nails with a thoughtful air. Behind her, Caroline strutted out like she owned the entire Upper East Side, swinging her designer handbag with unapologetic flair, her oversized sunglasses reflecting the world like shields of armor.

Valentine and Camille had already gotten into the sleek black car waiting at the curbside, bidding them a quick farewell.

"We'll leave you two lovebirds to it," Valentine had smirked.

Camille didn't even glance back.
