Chapter 228 - Flying With Rin

Many of the originally sealed intelligence reports were leaked, and many people knew that Kiyoshi and Tsunade had gone to investigate the intelligence regarding ten thousand Iwa ninja fighting the Third Raikage.

This made Kiyoshi the talk of the town during that time, with people saying that the Uchiha clan had produced a great genius.

It even slightly improved the Uchiha clan's reputation.

During wartime, everyone knows to rely on strong ninjas for mutual support.

The Uchiha clan is naturally the first and only choice.

Obito also nodded. He had specifically learned a lot about the Sharingan's abilities.

His goal was to amaze everyone once he awakened the Sharingan.

"I see." Kakashi nodded.

He hadn't seen many Uchiha use this ability, so it probably wasn't something everyone in the Uchiha clan could learn.

High in the sky.

Rin's legs felt weak, and she didn't dare continue looking at the landscape below.

Humans have an instinctive yearning for flight, and similarly, a fear of heights.

"It's… it's too high, Kiyoshi."

Rin said softly, letting go of one hand to hold down her skirt.

"So, you are afraid of heights?"

Kiyoshi extracted a portion of Wind chakra and shot upwards again.

The surrounding sea of clouds surged and rolled around them, like an endless snow sea.

Rin couldn't bother holding down her skirt. She wrapped her arms around Kiyoshi's neck, trembling slightly.

After calming down, she felt a little annoyed.

Just as she was about to say something, Kiyoshi spoke first, "Kakashi should have developed the ninjutsu he wanted, right?"

These words made Rin's eyes dim slightly. Kiyoshi was right. Kakashi had finally developed that ninjutsu.

The time she can spend communicating with Kakashi was also decreasing because the advanced Lightning Release techniques couldn't be mastered through theoretical knowledge alone.

With Kiyoshi's help, her Lightning chakra extraction was indeed a little faster than before, but it was just a drop in the bucket, far from enough.

"Kakashi's father's death had a huge impact on him." Rin sighed softly.

"Is that so?"

Kiyoshi's warm breath landed on Rin.

In the cold sky, there was a touch of warmth. Unconsciously, Rin's body felt a little hot and her mouth felt dry.

As if by instinct, she began to warm up.

"Let me down, Kiyoshi."

Rin could feel Kiyoshi's hard chest. The other party's masculine aura made her rub her legs uncomfortably.

"If you encounter any trouble or problems, come find me." Kiyoshi suddenly said, giving Rin a meaningful look.

After this, if nothing unexpected happened, Kakashi would transplant a Sharingan, becoming the only open non-Uchiha Sharingan user in the village. That would inevitably cause a huge uproar.

In the original story, even Itachi was curious about this issue.

In the end, he didn't retrieve Kakashi's Sharingan because he couldn't find a justifiable reason.

However, just because others didn't want it didn't mean Kakashi didn't have psychological pressure.

It also didn't mean that everyone in the Uchiha clan could accept this reason. It was just that Fugaku didn't want to cause more conflict and suppressed it.

After all, Kakashi had a series of buffs such as Son of the White Fang, Genius, Anbu, and Minato's Disciple.

It could be said that Kakashi was actually tied to the Hokage lineage. Even top secret matters such as Kushina giving birth were known to Kakashi.

If you, Rin, don't want Kakashi to end up like Sakumo and commit suicide due to pressure, then you have to pay a price and make a deal.

Kiyoshi's eyes flickered.

Rin thought it was about Lightning Release and didn't understand the true meaning, so she nodded immediately.

Whoosh!

Accompanied by the sound of the wind, Kiyoshi brought Rin down to the ground.

"Hey, hurry up and put Rin down."

As soon as Kiyoshi stepped on the ground, Obito couldn't wait to urge him.

He didn't want to see Kiyoshi holding Rin at all. Every second he held her, his heart bled.

"Okay, Obito, this is for the mission."

Rin took her hands off Kiyoshi's neck, stepped on the ground, and straightened her skirt.

Even though she was a little embarrassed, Rin still acted generously in front of Kakashi, not wanting him to misunderstand.

"Hmph, Rin, you're just too soft-hearted. You're so pretty. I think Kiyoshi just wanted to hold you longer, that's why he stayed up there for so long." Obito said indignantly.

He saw with his own eyes that Kiyoshi went up a little higher. Minato only asked Kiyoshi to fly up to check the speed, but he dawdled for so long.

"Obito, if you keep targeting our clan members like this, I'm going to tell your grandmother."

Mikoto's cheeks flushed when she heard Obito's words.

Would Kiyoshi be interested in a girl like Rin?

If it were before, Mikoto would think yes, since they were all young people. But now, Mikoto didn't think so.

Kiyoshi had said more than once that she was his ideal type.

Mikoto had always been troubled by this issue. After all, she and Fugaku were only one step away from leveling up their relationship, and the age gap between her and Kiyoshi was also large.

The two were really not suitable.

Fugaku had also asked her to build more bonds with Kiyoshi, which was really difficult for her.

"Please don't tell my grandmother."

Obito's tone softened immediately, begging Mikoto to spare him.

If his grandmother found out, he would definitely be scolded for not cherishing his clan members.

"Let's all be friendly from now on."

Mikoto could see that Obito was jealous and deliberately advised him not to overthink things, that Kiyoshi wouldn't do that.

But she couldn't say the basis for her deduction.

"You are very fast, so let's proceed with the plan below like this."

Minato used a pen to draw on the map laid out on the flat soil, marking a route and location.

"This is the route through Kusagakure that Iwagakure forces will take. According to intelligence, the enemy has already gathered thousands of ninjas on the front lines here."

"… A bridge. So, this is the infiltration mission."

Kakashi saw that the place Minato pointed to was a bridge.

Minato explained some details, "That's right. Your mission this time is to infiltrate the enemy's rear area, destroy this bridge that the enemy uses for supplies, and then evacuate quickly."

"Mikoto-san and I will go to the front lines to attack the enemy. You and Kiyoshi are both Jonin, and each of you will be responsible for a squad as the captain."

Konoha is currently facing an unprecedented shortage of combat power, and this is a last resort.

"Mikoto-san and I will accompany you to the border. You don't have to worry about that." Minato put away the map.

"Yes!"

Kakashi and the others replied.

The geographical situation of Kusagakure was special, like a country swallowed by giant vegetation.

Towering trees intertwined, and the air was filled with a moist earthy smell. Mottled light and shadows were cast on mushroom-sized houses, like a natural maze.

A team of ninjas slowly walked through the vine-entwined path. The surroundings were silent, and only the rustling sound of the wind passing through the branches and leaves could be heard.

Kiyoshi walked among them, and his dark eyes suddenly saw movement in the distance through the layers of branches and leaves.

Somewhere under a tree, a hidden figure could be vaguely seen.

In the next moment, he stopped abruptly without warning.

[Basic Hyuga (Blue)] could be triggered as long as he concentrated his mind. In his eyes, there was clearly someone under the tree a kilometer away.
