Chi Lian changed her solemn face as she turned to face her friends and sisters-in-law. A bright smile replaced the frown which she had on only seconds ago. "What are you all talking about?" She asked as she sat down.
Rize held up a fork that had some remaining butter from the pastry she was eating. She pointed it Mei Mei's way and said, "We are discussing the bride to be and her friends whose gowns cost more than the salaries of all the Duan's put together."
Chi Lian looked at the sparkly dresses and shoes and she agreed with everyone. "They did not spare any expense."
"Which makes me wonder what they plan to wear at the wedding." Xue Lili almost whistled. The ladies were dripping in glitter and looking like sirens that had just arrived on earth.
"Have you seen the ring on Siping's finger?" Ruoxi whispered in a gossip kind of manner.
The ladies nodded. One of them even whistled.
