Leonhardt first sighed deeply as he heard these words, for he knew in the depths of his mind that such a thing was bound to happen sooner or later. With the way the people were behaving, it was very evident that they would surely try and reach out to Kaelith again, attempting to pull him back into their grasp. What he did not expect, however, was that it would happen this soon, almost immediately, without giving Kaelith the breathing space he deserved.
He quickly asked Jaden, his voice sharp with concern, "Did he tell you where he was going?"
"No. He didn't say much. He only mentioned that it's a forest," Jaden responded, his expression clouded.
"Good," Leonhardt replied, though his tone was firm, his chest tightening. "Don't worry, Kaelith will return safely. I already prepared for something like this long ago, just in case."
