Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Scamming A God? Preposterous!

All the fun aside, the real reason Kali went to the City Center is the Free Market that opens when the Festival comes around, where everyone can set up stalls and sell whatever.

His plan is to look for Items that would fit well with his current needs for his Planet.

Old Kane, after a bit of nagging and ear pulling resolved his grievances with Kali.

Also, the showcase of him spewing out water, didn't surprise the Old Man that much, he figured that with all the questions he's been asking this past few days and the abundant number of fishes he's bringing home, he's awakened some sort of power.

There's really no need to explain anything between them, they both understood the need to keep their true strength under wraps even from each other, so Kane didn't ask anything about it.

While walking, almost all the food stalls was visited and eaten at by the Old Man, trying all sorts of food and sometimes even giving some to Kali to eat.

Kali, on the other hand, browsed the stalls that has wares that caught his eye, but he couldn't find any Item that fits what he's looking for and is within his budget, an item that could produce SE.

That's until he came across a fishery, there's quite a lot of beautiful fishes, but what caught his eye is one goldfish emitting a bit SE.

"Old Man, what's this fish? How is it emitting SE?"

"Do I look like a fish expert to you? Ask the owner!"

"Owner!!" Kali called out, which got a middle aged man to come out of the store to check.

"Ohh what did you call me for, sirs? Something caught your eye?" he asked.

"What's this goldfish? I've never seen one that can emit SE, do you sell it?"

"That one huh, that's just a lucky mutation in my breeding farm, I was planning to sell it for 10 Gold Coins but the noble backed out on me, he said the fish looked dumb, I'll sell it to you for 70 Silvers and I'll even add in a female one so you can breed them," the shopkeeper's salespitch.

"70 is too much, I'll buy both for 50!"

"Deal!" The man hurriedly accepted.

"Huh?" Hearing the very fast approval of the man opposite him, that got Kali thinking maybe he is getting scammed in this deal, but whatever the fish in his opinion is worth that much, so he has no qualms buying it.

"How do I feed this?" Kali asked after he's given a plastic containing the fish.

The shopkeeper grinned an evil smile, and Kali got a premonition that he might have done something he would regret.

At the end, Kali begrudgingly bought

1. Krill planktons to feed the Goldfishes,

2. A fish tank to contain the two fishes,

3. Another smaller tank as a temporary place to breed the Krill planktons,

4. Glowberry Vines, because apparently Krill Planktons need sunlight to grow.

All these cost him another 20 Silver Coins leaving him broke.

"Thanks for your patronage!"

Kane, throughout all that has been silent, trusting the kid he watched grow up knows how to get the right amount of deals and manage his funds well.

"Old Man I'll go home now, I got what I'm looking for, and I ain't got no money left to spend, I'll visit you when I got some free time." Kali said his goodbyes while preparing to walk home.

"Take care kid, I think I'll stick around some more and buy some more food," Kane then waved goodbye to Kali.

When he got home, he immediately got to work setting up the two fish tanks, before he puts them in his own world he wants to test whether they could really survive in that kind of environment, before leaving them on their own devices on the other side.

According to the Store Owner, both the Goldfish and the Planktons could survive in Saltwater, so he used the water from his own planet to fill the tanks, he then decorated the outside of both tanks with Glowberry Vines while submerging a part of the Glowberry Vine on the water.

He also left the two tanks in the darkest part of his house, to simulate the circumstances in his own Planet, now all he could do is wait and see.

In the meantime, he begrudgingly started the process of leveling up his SE.

He currently has 8,687.5 5SE, when he meditated, unlike before the process of turning all that to 4,343.75 6SE, only took him 10 hours.

Then the subsequent condensation condensing of it into 2,171.875 7SE, and finally 1,085.9375 8SE, took him 20 more hours.

While all this is happening, he's been looking at the results of the tests he's conducting.

In the first 10 hours, he could see the Glowberry Vine wilting a bit and losing some light starting from the part submerged in Seawater, however as more time goes on he could see it very slowly recovering and shedding some parts of it that wilted in the process, revealing parts that is more resistant to the erosion of Saltwater.

The planktons are also thriving and he could see that the light given by the Glowberry Vines are just enough to support it's growth.

The goldfishes are also alright with the conditions he had given them, they are fed regularly and doesn't have any signs of anything bad happening to them.

All three are all set on entering his planet, now he just has to create the conditions that would support their growth in the Planet.

So what he did was modify the Planet once again.

First, he raised the land in a circumference with the Anthill of Water Stones in the middle, the land was not high at all, it's just to mark where he plans to release all three creatures.

Second, he raised about 10 poles of land, where he plans to let the Glowberry Vines grow while it is still not fully acclimated to Sea Water. He is predicting that once Glowberry Vines are fully acclimated to water it would finally spread into the Sea Water itself.

Then after doing all that, he finally willed the Glowberry Vine he's holding into going into the Planet.

[Use level 3 Item Slot to take in 'Glowberry Vines'?]

"Yes!"
