Subsequently, dozens of truck-mounted guns were immediately taken over by the German Army, while the "Saint-Chamond" was destroyed with grenades.

The German Army preferred the simple and easy-to-operate truck-mounted guns, considering the "Saint-Chamond" a waste of precious gasoline and tank personnel.
