Chapter 421 [Mountain Array]
The finger bone was indeed picked up by Wu from the remains of Xie Jiuyan's body.
This point matched Chen Yan's suspicions.
But Wu's explanation was more detailed.
According to Wu, he cremated Xie Jiuyan's body at the time, and it took a long time under the fire before Xie Jiuyan's body was finally turned to ashes.
But...
This finger bone was left behind!
Because... it couldn't be burned by the fire.
The body had already been cremated, yet this finger bone remained intact.
When Wu discovered this while tidying up the ashes, he was filled with astonishment.
He was an ABC, but at heart a Dragon Country person, an Asian.
Because of this bloodline and cultural imprint, from a young age, he naturally heard some legends similar to "Shariputra."
Adding to this was his firm belief that Xie Jiuyan was an "Immortal."
Naturally, this piece of finger bone made him think of something akin to "Shariputra."
