Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Wanton Destruction of Nature

The movements of the two Black Armored Knights were exceptionally agile. One lifted the shoulder, the other lifted the arm; Li Yunjing's weight, around one hundred forty or fifty pounds, did not cause them any effort at all.

Their figures swayed, quickly throwing Li Yunjing into the carriage of the last wagon.

Yu San and Yu Si were also wearing raincoats, but they were already soaked by the rain.

Obviously, these guards' cultivation levels were not worth mentioning compared to Steward Li.

The carriage was large enough to accommodate three to five people without any issues.

Inside the carriage of the last wagon, there were some dry food, miscellaneous items, iron pots, and water buckets piled up...

These were supplies prepared for the long journey.

At this moment, the supplies in the carriage were less than half, allowing Li Yunjing to be settled in.

The convoy continued to travel unhurriedly; Li Yunjing's appearance did not impact them at all.

After Steward Li spoke a few words with the young mistress, he came to the carriage of the last wagon, looking at Li Yunjing's miserable state, clicked his tongue in wonder.

"Kid, you sure have a strong fate! Surviving even a lightning strike!"

As the old man examined Li Yunjing's injuries, he muttered to himself, "You are indeed lucky! You encountered the young mistress of our Yu Family! Who doesn't know about 'Yue Ming City', where the young mistress of the Yu Family is the kindest!"

"Splash!"

The heavy rain outside continued, and the old man found a cloth to wipe Li Yunjing's body.

Then, he checked Li Yunjing's pulse and bones.

After confirming Li Yunjing's condition, Steward Li carefully took out a set of silver needles.

The silver needles were as fine as cowhair. Steward Li's wrist quickly flicked, and the needles silently pierced various acupuncture points on Li Yunjing's body.

After the acupuncture, Steward Li hesitated, finally taking out a jade bottle with a pained expression.

"Using such a healing holy medicine on you is a wasteful act!"

Steward Li muttered, uncorking the bottle.

A fragrant aroma instantly filled the carriage.

Carefully, he poured out a green elixir from the jade bottle.

Holding it in his hand, he pondered for a moment before finally sighing.

"Alas! It's like losing a Treasure Pill!"

Steward Li's gaunt cheeks twitched, quickly closing the bottle and tucking it back into his robe.

He then gritted his teeth, prying open Li Yunjing's mouth and placing the thumb-sized elixir inside.

"Kid! After taking our Yu Family's 'Heart Protection Pill,' even King Yan himself can't take your life."

Watching Li Yunjing's faintly rising and falling breath, Steward Li muttered to himself.

After confirming Li Yunjing's stable condition, Steward Li removed the silver needles and left a set of servant's clothes for him before leaving, reassured.

This road is the only way to the Shenxiao Dao Sect.

The Shenxiao Dao Sect in the secular world is known by name but unseen by ordinary people.

Besides some ancient aristocratic clans, influential families, and royalties, common people can hardly know any real details about the Shenxiao Dao Sect, let alone find this ancient road that has existed for tens of thousands of years.

Anyone who knows the exact location of the Shenxiao Dao Sect is definitely no ordinary person!

How could one aspire to join an Immortal Sect without any real skills?

To become a disciple of an Immortal Sect, one must be a top-notch talent, an exceptional genius.

Just like the young mistress of the Yu Family!

"Who is this kid?"

This thought fleetingly crossed Steward Li's mind.

If he hadn't inspected Li Yunjing thoroughly and found him to be just a somewhat robust martial arts practitioner.

He might have thought they were from the same cultivation family as the Yu Family!

A small figure like this, even inferior to the knights of the Yu Family.

Naturally, he posed no real threat.

Steward Li naturally lost interest in monitoring Li Yunjing.

Leaving the carriage, he reported to the young mistress that the kid wouldn't die.

Steward Li then guarded beside the carriage.

He needed to be constantly nearby to protect the young mistress's safety.

After all, the deep mountains and forests are not like Yue Ming City.

Nor is it the Yu Family's headquarters, so how could he dare to be careless?

If any mishap occurred, how could he explain to the Patriarch?

Yue Ming City was three thousand miles from here, enduring the journey through wind and frost.

Even for a top clan like the Yu Family, the journey was not peaceful.

At this moment, approaching the destination, any accident would be something Steward Li couldn't afford to bear!

The long night passed, with rain pouring from torrents to drizzle.

The convoy did not stop to rest, clearly indicating that the Yu Family was pressed for time, without any room to waste.

The next morning, the rain stopped, and the sky cleared, and Li Yunjing finally woke up.

"Where am I?"

"Was I saved?!"

Feeling the strength return to his body, Li Yunjing observed the items in the carriage.

Feeling the motion beneath him, he realized he was in a moving wagon.

"Kid! What's your name?"

Steward Li immediately came to Li Yunjing's side, questioning him.

Within a three-mile radius, any subtle movement couldn't escape Steward Li's divine sense.

As soon as Li Yunjing woke up, the steward knew.

"My surname is Li, and my name is Li Yunjing. Did you save my life? I'm most grateful!"

He had some hazy memories from the previous night.

Reflecting on his current condition, how could he not know he was rescued by the person before him?

Facing his savior, what else could be said?

Thus, Li Yunjing propped himself up and bowed respectfully.

"Hmm! You're from the same clan!"

Seeing that Li Yunjing was still sensible, Steward Li nodded and recounted the story of how he was saved.

"Thank you, young mistress, for saving my life! Thank you, Steward Li, for saving my life!"

Li Yunjing silently thanked: "Fortunate!"

His gratitude towards the Yu Family was sincere and heartfelt.

"Change your clothes and follow me to meet the young mistress!"

Seeing Li Yunjing in a miserable state, Steward Li sneered and gestured for him to don the servant's clothes nearby.

"Thank you, Steward Li!"

Though the old man was unkind and somewhat mocking, Li Yunjing remained grateful.

If not for his help, he might have died on that muddy path.

A few mocking words from his rescuer, Li Yunjing just laughed them off.

As for being naked, Li Yunjing didn't care at all.

In his previous life, mixing in bathhouses, he was utterly unfazed.

Having an audience while he changed didn't bother him, Li Yunjing confidently changed his clothes from inside out.

The fit was quite good, nice!

Li Yunjing was very satisfied; after all, in such a prestigious family, even a servant's clothes were far superior in quality and elegance compared to those of ordinary merchants or landowners.
