The next day, Ben got ready for his hunt for the day. As decided, he went to the area of the qon prosimians. He had to check the various supplies he had. He had some medical supplies and storage device. By around 8 in the morning, he moved towards the area of the qon prosimians. He had a camouflage dress, that helped him blend with the forest. On the way to the forest, he took some plants and rubbed them on him, so as to prevent smell from being sensed.
The territory of qon prosimians were at a short distance from the camp. These creatures were somewhat solitary, just living nearby. Even the mating between them was dangerous for whichever mate was smaller. If the male qon prosimian is smaller, the female will eat it after mating and vice versa. The fact the creature has not gone extinct is due to the fact at a time the females will give birth to 20-30 babies. The mother also tries to fiercely protect its babies. But most of the babies will die due to various reasons. The surviving ones will be really strong.
Ben soon reached the territory of the qon prosimians. He checked the wind direction, masked himself with aura, controlled his breathing and sat down inside thicket. He looked around for any dangers or qon prosimians nearby. He could see some large trees, on which there were some holes into which these creatures could go in. The lower tier of these prosimians were very small and was the size of small children. They would hit a growth spurt after about 5 years old, after which they would grow to become 6-7 ft. Then their life is dependent on the power they gain.
Ben did not spot anything outside. There was a really large tree at quite some distance. It had a cave like opening at its base. Ben could sense a really powerful life from inside there. He did not know if it had sensed him or not. But Ben was on guard.
He looked around and waited. After about an hour, some prosimians started to come out from the hiding places. They all looked at each other and in a short while, the creatures started to fight with each other. Some of them were killed, some of them were maimed. When the noise became really high, from the cave at the base of the large tree, a wave of aura erupted. If Mahaansh or Vishok was here, they would have told Ben that it was the eruption of blood lust from a Lord class creature. But they were not here to explain or to save Ben from this. So Ben was hit with the full blunt force of the killing intent. He was terrified. He was sweating all over. The creatures were even worse than him. Some of them died on the spot and almost all of them were on the ground writhing in pain.
Then Ben felt another pressure from behind him. It was a bit more powerful than the pressure emanating from the cave. Then Ben saw a large shadow at the entrance of the cave and then he heard a sonic boom along with a shockwave which sent him flying. He prevented himself from injuring with considerable effort. After he stabilized himself, he looked at the territory of the qon prosimians. It was devastated. Some were dead, some were maimed. But regardless, none of the creatures were in a state to threaten him.
Ben suppressed his fear and still being very careful, moved into the cave of the lord level qon prosimian. There was another reason why he was somewhat confident. He could sense two energy signatures fighting at a distance. He knew whatever that was, it would take some time for that lord class prosimian to come back. He went inside that tree cave. The inside was neither very large, nor very small. Strangely though, it was very neat. For some reason, there was no blood all over the place. The carcasses were hung from the top at a corner of the cave and group of bones were also there at the same corner. Ben looked at this strangely. He could promise it was better than his room.
Quickly suppressing his amusement, Ben searched the cave. There were some bones and some carcasses which were being bled. But there was one carcass that caught his eye. It was the body of a small prosimian. It was dead. Almost all of its blood was drained. But that blood was rend in a color with a golden hue. It was a terra prosimian. He was stunned. 'It looks like a young one. It must have strayed from its group. Such a terrible luck. Sorry little one, but I can't pass this.' Then Ben did a slight bow and did a ritual of asking the nature the permission to take this resource. He knew it was hypocritical, but because this was a cub, he felt the need to do so. Then without waiting, he took the blood and also took the dead body of the terra prosimian.
He did not linger in the territory of the beast. He quickly made his way to the camp. He was about to enter when he received the signal to wait before entering. Soon Vishok came out. He asked, "Hey Ben, you completed you completed your hunt for the day?"
Ben: No just wanted to keep something safely.
Vishok: What is it?
Ben explained what happened. Vishok was stunned. He took the blood and carcass of the terra prosimian and said, "Actually, there is that guy who said would come to buy our stuff today. I don't want him to see you. This was instructed by Mahaansh. So let me take this for the time being and let me try to strike a bargain with him. You wear this Mask and come in."
Soon Vishok and Ben went inside with Ben donning the mask. Inside there was sly looking person. From the energy Ben could feel, it was martial noble. He was a lanky fellow, who had almost the same height as Mahaansh and Vishok. He learned that the man's name was 'Silock'. Ben did not talk to him. The bargaining was being done by the two martial lords.
It continued for about an hour. By then it was morning 10 o' clock. After that the man left. Mahaansh asked Ben to look for the notification in his phone. Just then he received a notification. He had received a sum of about 1.5 million mudras to his account. Ben was aghast. He looked at Mahaansh and Vishok. Azurbaan growled at him as if to say that he needs to look at him too. Ben, not wanting to antagonize a lord level creature looked at him too.
Mahaansh said, " Don't look at us like that. When there is risk, there will be reward. The real game changer was the blood and body of the terra prosimian. That is what made your income go really high. Also, you don't have to worry about the procedures. We have already completed the tax procedures for the money and we have transferred it securely. There will be legitimate records for the money transfer. Also, we have found another method for transfer as well. I will elaborate it later after this mission ends. We can't have people come after you."
Ben repeatedly nodded his head. He was stunned. In just two days after starting his mission, he got such a huge amount. He was afraid that he had used up every bit of luck for this life. Bu thinking about the price of the combat techniques and the training resources, he winced. He also had a debt to pay off. All in all he was just in a break even position. That's it. He sighed defeatedly. The thought of having 26 more days cheered him a bit. He had to work hard. Now he could understand a bit about the sacrifices his parents had to make for him and his sister.
