Chapter 15 - rules are meant to be broken

The vortex finally stabilized into a smooth blue-grey oval, with the edges covered by light grey fluffy clouds.

When I turned around, my parents were standing there wide eyed, before eventually shaking their heads and following me through the portal.

When we stepped out, we were about 100ft away from the crystal marking the dream trial. My parents looked around in awe before turning to me and asking:

"So this is the result of your skill?"

"Indeed." I confirmed.

"Also, what's this IP thing?" My mom asked. "My system says I have 1 right now."

"Oh, that. Follow me. It's a form of currency for my resort, because yes, I think that's what my class does."

"Interesting. What amenities or places to spend it on do you have?" My dad asked.

"See that crystal over there?" I asked. "That's the dream trial I talked about."

After I was done showing them around, we decided that I should ask about trying to run things by myself without going to the alliance, but keep the option open for the future.

In the meantime, I decided to actually check out the garden.

When I entered the garden, bushes and flowers filled the flower beds, and trees were planted to find ample shade.

The trees were even flowering, looking to soon bear fruit. A cloud-white pedestal stood at the center, with a fountain as a backdrop.
