The air clung to their skin like humidity laced with something else, something heavier. It wasn't just the scent of arousal. There was a pull in the room, a subtle haze that wrapped around their thoughts, nudging their desires to the surface and clouding their judgment.

Neither of them felt the urge to lash out at Levi. That wasn't it.

Instead, a gnawing unease was building inside them. A sense that something was wrong, deeply wrong. But they couldn't see it, couldn't name it. And the more time passed, the harder it was to hold onto clarity.
