Chapter 104 - Chapter 104 – One Man Turns the Tide

Yun Ze calmly put away two of his soul tools, leaving one still floating outside as a show of deterrence.

Seeing their supposed ally retreat so suddenly, the two pilots in the red mechas looked grim as water. They cursed under their breath—useless trash.

Those people had refused to act before, and when they finally did, they achieved nothing and then fled in panic. Truly disappointing. Had they known it would turn out this way, they never would've cooperated with them in the first place.

Of course, that was just wishful thinking. The other side had an Ultimate Douluo—if they hadn't cooperated, they'd have been killed outright.

Still, those people weren't completely useless. That so-called "Ghost Emperor," an Ultimate Douluo, was indeed valuable—he had managed to hold off the enemy's own Ultimate expert.

The sudden appearance of the five evil soul masters had originally tilted the balance in favor of the attackers, giving them the upper hand in terms of Title Douluo-level strength.

But before they could even celebrate, something utterly shocking happened—A child, no more than seven or eight years old, wielded some unknown weapon and nearly killed one of their top experts.

Even worse, that attack had forced several titled experts to flee in disgrace. It was the kind of scene one couldn't believe without seeing it firsthand—so outrageous it defied reason.

Now the situation had reversed again. The Federation and Star Luo's side regained the advantage, their superior high-end combat power turning the battlefield into a slaughter for the attackers.

The four directors of the Sun and Moon Royal Academy were like moving artillery platforms. Their three-word battle armors unfolded dense arrays of cannons; a storm of shells of every type and color blasted out.

The shells weaved a deadly web, raining down upon the attackers' mechas so thickly that evasion was nearly impossible.

One on one, the four directors couldn't match a super expert like Cai Yue'er, but when it came to wide-area devastation, they surpassed even her.

At this moment they demonstrated the terrifying destructive power of the fusion between Soul Engineers and Battle Armor Masters.

Behind Yun Ze, his phoenix wings flapped lightly as he hovered in the air, eyes calm, fixed on one of the red mechas.

Once upon a time, being stared at by him would only make the pilot uneasy—but not frightened. Now, after witnessing the sheer power of that weapon he wielded earlier, how could he not be terrified? He was genuinely afraid Yun Ze might suddenly take a shot at him.

He had already felt Cold Rain Lai's strength earlier—a true Super Douluo—and even she had almost died under that attack. If he were hit by something like that, how could the outcome be anything but death?

The red mecha he was fighting was piloted by a middle-aged man named Luo Yuhang, a member of the Federation's Temple of War, sent specifically to protect the diplomatic mission.

His spirit power was at rank 96, a three-word Battle Armor Master, with strength on par with Shrek's Cai Yue'er.

Relying on his profound cultivation, Luo Yuhang had already been suppressing the red mecha. Now that the opponent was distracted, his advantage grew even greater.

"You dare get distracted while fighting me?"

Luo Yuhang's killing intent surged as his attacks grew fiercer, his momentum threatening to completely shatter the red mecha.

Under the relentless assault, the pressure on the red mecha skyrocketed. It was already starting to falter—the signs of defeat were clear.

The other red mecha fared slightly better, but even so, it was being pushed back. Its opponent was none other than Cai Yue'er herself—a Super Douluo. Handling her was extremely difficult.

The battle had reached a white-hot stage; both sides suffered losses. Mechas exploded one after another, and soul masters fell in waves.

Gu Yue Na had also joined the battle, though she didn't leave Yun Ze's side. Instead, she launched long-range elemental attacks—fireballs, earth spikes, wind blades, and water bullets continuously flew, sometimes fusing into combined elemental strikes.

The Molten Monarch Mecha rampaged through enemy lines like a wolf among sheep, crushing enemy mechas with a single punch.

Meanwhile, the Nine-Headed Flamebird Mecha still spat fireballs from the sky, but after so many blasts, its firepower had weakened noticeably.

Its energy reserves were being drained too fast—it no longer had enough power for sustained high-intensity attacks.

Then came a thunderous boom! Luo Yuhang's punch sent the red mecha flying, slamming it into a mountainside and embedding it deep into the rock.

His ninth spirit ring flared, and a black energy sphere formed in his palm, crackling with electric light.

He launched it toward the red mecha. The orb expanded rapidly in mid-air, swelling to tens of meters in diameter.

Just as the red mecha tore free of the cliff, the energy ball hit it head-on.

BOOM—!

The explosion erupted violently. Black energy laced with violet lightning engulfed the red mecha.

The blast's destructive force was terrifying, sweeping through everything nearby. For hundreds of meters, the air itself seemed to rip apart under the rampaging energy.

Visible shockwaves rippled outward, hurling everyone nearby backward. Trees in the mountains were uprooted and flung into the air like straw.

After more than ten seconds, the red mecha burst out from the explosion—but didn't stop. It immediately turned tail and fled into the distance.

Having taken Luo Yuhang's ninth spirit skill head-on, the red mecha was in critical condition—its outer plating shattered, its internal systems severely damaged.

It had almost no combat capability left. Staying meant certain death.

"Trying to run?"

Luo Yuhang's killing intent sharpened. He shot forward in pursuit at full speed—he was determined to kill this one today.

"Retreat!"

Seeing this, the pilot of the other red mecha made a snap decision and gave the order to withdraw.

He flew toward his injured ally's direction to provide cover, and the other mechas followed.

"Half of you, pursue and finish them off! The rest, stay and assist with rescue operations!"

The Federation and Star Luo forces quickly coordinated their actions.

After the fierce battle, of the attackers' original hundred-plus mechas, barely thirty remained. More than half had been destroyed.

The survivors were all damaged to varying degrees and were now fleeing at top speed.

Cai Yue'er did not give chase. Instead, she landed beside the Shrek Academy students to protect them—just in case.

After all, danger didn't only come from enemies; sometimes, it came from within the diplomatic mission itself. For example… Yun Ze.

There was bad blood between Shrek and the Dragon-Phoenix Hall. It wasn't impossible that someone from their side might target the students.

And Cai Yue'er's caution wasn't misplaced—Yun Ze did harbor killing intent toward Tang Wulin and the others. That much was true. She wasn't imagining things.

He simply didn't intend to act now. Striking here would fail anyway; it would be a waste of time.

Better to wait for the right moment in the future—and then finish them all at once.Right now, he had no intention of lifting a finger.

Some fighters, burning with vengeance, went in pursuit of the fleeing mechas. Others stayed behind to search the wreckage of the derailed train for survivors.

The Sun and Moon Royal Academy directors hovered in the air, faces solemn, eyes fixed on the distant sky.

The battle between the Ultimate-class experts high above still hadn't reached its conclusion. The crisis wasn't over yet—they couldn't afford to relax.

From afar, dozens of mechas were approaching fast—reinforcements from the Star Luo Empire's mecha division.

Some immediately joined the rescue efforts; others took up defensive positions in the air, maintaining vigilance.

When the attack first began, Star Luo had already called for reinforcements. These mechas came from the nearest military unit in range.
