"What are you doing, Alistair? Put me down." I said as I patted my back gently.
"Talk. I can hear you."
"From here?" I inquired curiously as he walked towards our tents. He kept quiet and I quickly pondered about what to say and how to say it. "Well…I just want to apologize, we have not been interacting well and I know I took out my frustration on you which is not supposed to be."
"We are here." He declared as he lowered me to the ground.
I noticed the flickering fire then realized we had arrived at the tent ground. I must have been lost while talking or he was super fast. We locked our gaze and I hoped he could listen to me. I looked down at his stomach and saw that the cut had closed up and the bleeding had stopped.
He placed his hand under my chin and raised my head to look at him. The side of his mouth dripped with blood, and it was then that I knew he was feasting on the poor deer.
