Chapter 62 - All out attack (1)

Snap!

Lightning struck straight down onto the monster.

Boom!

A powerful stomping sound echoed, creating an ice wall that surrounded the monster on all four sides.

"WOOHOO!!"

"Deafen this bastard!"

Vakoth and Abaric leaped down from the ice wall, gripping their weapons tightly as they charged into combat.

The monster whipped its tentacles toward both of them, but the two were extremely battle-hardened — those attacks couldn't faze them at all.

Abaric held a dagger in one hand while scales turned into blades sprouted from the other, slashing nonstop. Vakoth, on the other hand, fought like he didn't know what pain was.

Then another bolt of lightning appeared, smashing directly into the monster.

Even though the four of them didn't have particularly great teamwork, what made up for it was how ridiculously strong and reliable their individual skills were.

Especially Baron — he had the most consistent damage output and could spam it incredibly fast, making him the single most annoying presence here.

"Don't you dare ignore me!" Vakoth roared, slicing off a tentacle with his spear.

Blood splattered across his face. He licked it with delight… then immediately spat it out.

"Peh, that's bitter as hell!!"

"No one told you to taste its blood, retard" Abaric said as he spun his dagger and charged straight at the monster.

He moved like a yoyo, then suddenly spun like a beyblade, slashing repeatedly and dealing serious damage.

Next, razor-sharp ice blades rained down from above, stabbing straight into the monster and freezing parts of its body.

One tank, one striker, two supports — this team was actually perfectly balanced.

"Hey, we've been hacking at it forever and it's still perfectly fine. What gives?" Vakoth asked curiously while stabbing his spear into the monster.

"It has adaptation ability like the others, but way stronger. We've been toying with it this whole time — no wonder it's still alive."

"Oh? Then I guess I'll have to use my skill."

He yanked the spear out of the monster's gut… then stabbed it straight into his own heart.

The pain was excruciating, but it only made him more excited.

Instantly, his body became denser, stronger, and far more bloodthirsty.

Oh, and he also gained temporary regeneration — enough for Vakoth to go completely berserk.

"GAHAHAHAHA!!" Vakoth charged in with relentless attacks. Abaric refused to be outdone — he transformed into a shark, dove to the ground, and "swam" toward the monster at high speed.

Vakoth swung his spear with full force, tearing a huge gash across the monster's body.

Then Abaric burst up from below, slashing three or four times before slamming it hard with his shark tail.

More ice spikes rained down, dealing continuous damage.

But Irelia suddenly felt something wrong.

The air around them… was starting to heat up.

Vakoth and Abaric noticed it too — the monster's skin was getting tougher, bleeding less and less.

"KILL IT RIGHT NOW! STOP TOYING WITH IT OR IT'LL ADAPT AND DEVELOP COUNTERS TO EVERYTHING WE'VE GOT!!" Baron shouted.

"Counters? Like what—"

A massive fist smashed straight into Vakoth's face. His jaw shattered instantly.

"Nani?!" Abaric flinched. The next moment, a tentacle whipped down with terrifying force, shattering the ground.

It then grabbed Abaric and hurled him straight into the ice wall.

Boom!

The ice wall shattered. Abaric flew out, stunned.

He couldn't believe it — he, one of the strongest adventurers in the guild, had been handled so easily.

Even normal A-rank Boss monsters couldn't catch him this effortlessly.

"No joke anymore… this thing has S-rank potential," Abaric muttered, spinning mid-air, planting his feet against the wall, and launching himself back at the monster.

Both arms sprouted sword-like scales. He spun rapidly, turning himself into a living drill.

The monster did the exact same — charging forward, tentacles whirling into a drill of its own.

The two collided with explosive force.

Slowly, the monster began tearing open with countless wounds, blood pouring out.

'This is my chance!'

Abaric transformed back into shark form and bit down hard on the monster.

Unfortunately… it had already adapted enough.

"?!"

Tentacles pierced straight through Abaric's jaws, slowly forcing his mouth open wider and wider.

Realizing the danger, Abaric immediately reverted to human form.

As expected, the monster's jaws snapped open with tremendous force, creating a shockwave. The two tentacles that were about to rip Abaric apart slammed down into the ground instead.

"That was close…" Abaric exhaled in relief, then kicked Vakoth, who was still lying on the ground.

Vakoth opened his eyes, stood up while clutching his broken jaw, and glared at the monster.

"Don't go berserk. It's way too strong now. The two of us can't beat it."

"T… Yhehe… Derh…"

"Speak human language, damn it."

"Hss… Phew! Fuck, that hurt like a bitch! I swear it felt like a minotaur rammed straight into me when it hit!" Vakoth recovered and finally spat out a full sentence.

Both of them cautiously stared at the monster. It was radiating a faintly terrifying aura, tentacles spreading everywhere.

"Pay attention. AOE incoming. Be careful," Irelia's cold voice rang out.

Vakoth flinched, immediately kicked Abaric away, and dashed out himself.

"Dude, that hurt!"

"Shut up, I just saved your life, idiot."

The monster chased after the two fleeing figures… only to find snowflakes suddenly appearing all around it.

Those flakes quickly grew larger, turning into full snowflakes.

"Frost Torture Form #4: Piercing Shatter."

She slowly raised her hand, then clenched it.

Instantly, countless ice spikes erupted from the ground beneath the monster, shattering the ice wall she had created earlier.

"Students from Blue Sky really are on another level compared to regular adventurers," Abaric said, genuinely impressed.

"Lightning Strike! Tenfold Barrage!"

Baron raised both hands and clenched them.

Dark clouds instantly gathered overhead. Seven lightning bolts struck in rapid succession.

But then — something shot straight toward Irelia.

She widened her eyes and dodged to the side. The object slammed into the ground.

"…" She narrowed her eyes at the pitch-black, scorching spear… then looked at the monster, which was slowly melting her ice.

"Tch… Too late. It's already adapted to all our attacks," Baron gritted his teeth, glaring at the still-unscathed monster with disgust.

This was an A-rank boss with genuine S-rank potential. It was terrifyingly strong.

The monster cracked its neck with a sickening sound, then aimed its tentacles at all four of them.

This time, if it hit, it would be game over. It had already figured out how to counter every single one of them.

The only thing left to do… was kill it.

Four tentacles shot forward at blinding speed.

Baron realized he couldn't dodge. He began thinking of a last-ditch counterattack.

But no matter how he looked at it, there was no way to avoid or block. It had already adapted to him.

If it hit… he would die.

…He didn't want to die. There were still so many things he hadn't done.

He hadn't saved Kai yet…

He didn't want to die.

As the tentacles closed in, he prepared to burn every last drop of mana in one final desperate strike.

Vwoooom!!

Suddenly, an extremely powerful suction force rang out. All four tentacles vanished completely.

"?!"

All four of them were stunned. Only Irelia and Vakoth recognized the skill.

"Hey, where's Kai?" Reito had appeared beside Baron at some point, startling him.

"Kai… Kai got sucked into that chest over there."

"What? Then how do we save him?? I don't even know what kind of chest that is?!"

"Kill the boss first, figure it out later."

The monster froze in confusion as its four tentacles lost connection. Then it sensed an overwhelming pressure behind it.

The moment it turned around, it saw Aura — one fist raised, already glowing as power gathered inside it. Her red eyes burned like a ferocious beast about to unleash something catastrophic.

And this was only her sub-skill.

The monster panicked at an extreme level and raised every single tentacle to block.

And then… Aura threw the punch.

The monster felt something approaching.

It was death.

BOOOOOOM!!!!

Instantly, the monster vanished from sight. Only the deafening crash of it slamming into the far wall could be heard — caused entirely by Aura's punch.

Everyone stood frozen in shock… except Irelia and Violet, who simply watched.

In the end… the strongest person in Blue Sky Academy wasn't just anyone in Class S.

It was Aura Clint — the strongest in the entire school.

Aura adjusted her stance and looked at her steaming hand.

Then she glanced at the wall where the monster had crashed.

Everyone thought that had been a fatal blow.

But Aura knew — that punch had been blocked.

The smoke cleared.

The monster was still alive — heavily wounded, bleeding profusely, tentacles shredded, a massive hole punched clean through its abdomen.

And yet… it was adapting to the punch she had just thrown.

No joke — given enough time, this thing could become strong enough to destroy an entire kingdom.

And Aura… smiled faintly.

'Perfect. This punching bag is actually pretty tough.'

Her eyes lit up with a terrifying gleam.

This fight was worth going all out for.
