Chapter 118 - Buried Alive

Before leaving, Seojun said goodbye to Haebin.

"Brother…" the boy cried. "Why are you always leaving…"

"I'll be back soon," his brother knelt down and smiled. "Count to a hundred, and before you know it, I'll be standing right here."

"Can't I come with you?.."

"Of course not, dummy."

Seojun gently patted his head. Haebin stopped sobbing.

"Wipe those tears. You're a hero, remember? Heroes don't cry."

Not long after, they left.

Yeonghee laid the boy in bed and hummed a lullaby, gently holding his hands. Soon enough, Haebin fell asleep. And all the while, I stood by the door, quietly listening to her gentle melody.

"What are we going to do now?" Ming asked once they were gone. "If the Blood Moon arrives, everything might fall apart."

"What does it matter, fool?" Ryu scoffed, tilting his head arrogantly. "We'll just crush those Dukes."

"I-it's not that simple! Can you be serious for once?!"
