Xander changed into his suit while Gloria changed into something casual. She was going to depart the city around 11 am but she will be leaving home later than Xander.
When they got downstairs, the two kids were also awake.
"Daddy! Auntie!"
"Dad! Auntie!"
Gloria smiled as she watched the two kids, especially Raine, who ran towards her instead of her father.
Gloria scooped the little girl in her arms and planted a kiss on her forehead as she greeted her, "Good morning, princess!"
Raine shyly hugged Gloria as she returned the greeting. "Good morning, auntie."
Gloria chuckled dotingly at Raine before looking at Charles, who greeted her first after exchanging pleasantries with his father.
Gloria returned the greetings and held his hand before bringing the two kids to the dining room, where breakfast was being served.
It was their first breakfast as a family of four, and there was a sense of ritual about the whole thing.
