BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Profile: Archer accompanied by Saber Alter has made a name for himself as a skilled mercenary, who will complete his job with a 98% success rate.
Archer has a bit of a bipolar reputation when it comes to his work.
On the one hand, Archer has taken on minor tasks that fall into the category of a handyman or a good Samaritan such as repairing vehicles and appliances, fixing the roof of an orphanage, getting rid of wild animals invading the landfill, helping a restaurant that has lost its chef due to a bad cold etc.
On the other hand, Archer has accepted serious assignments in conflict zones or highly dangerous areas, such as search and destroy the target or infiltration of enemy bases.
This bipolarity has been a puzzle for many people, is Archer a suicidal mercenary or a man of the people?
However, three things are certain about Archer.
One, Archer has terrible luck, often taking on assignments that become more complicated than they should be, ending up encountering the Rhodes Island Operators many times.
Two, Archer is an archer with "Originium Arts" that allows him to take the place of a state-of-the-art artillery piece, being able to demolish a building from a distance of two kilometers.
Three, as unlucky as Archer is, he is equally lucky when it comes to attracting women to his side. Archer having a small fan club even before joining Rhodes Island.

This reminds me of something, Saver, he told me about how his twin sister's girlfriend, a certain Marcy, is a nerdy woman who is a huge fan of the video game franchise, Vagabondia Chronicles.
However, in Vagabondia Chronicles VII Remake there are super soldiers, WARRIOR, they are created by being exposed to OKAM radiation which enhances their physical abilities.
Perhaps the Servants were created using such a processor?
This explains why every biological sample I have been able to collect contains traces of exotic energy.

Archer is a skilled fighter with high tactical and strategic knowledge, not to mention his physical appearance.
With all these qualities Archer quickly became famous within Rhodes Island, but his real fame came when he showed his talents in the kitchen.
After defeating Gavial in the kitchen, Archer began working part-time in the Rhodes Island canteen. During his first shift, the canteen was overwhelmed by staff who were drawn by the enviable smell of freshly cooked food.
Apparently a hot home-cooked meal is stronger than any sword.
Many people have called for Archer to leave his position as a Field Operator in favor of the position of Head Chef.
Unfortunately for Rhodes Island foodies, EMIYA is more useful outside than in the kitchen.
Kal'tsit and HR didn't appreciate the foodies' idle suggestions and advice, threatening to ban Archer from cooking in the mess hall if they didn't calm down.
Eventually, EMIYA works part time as a cook on Rhodes Island, but only when he has free time and is not busy with tasks to complete.

He is not fixated on the exact method of winning, opening up many possibilities not available to those who fight with chivalry and codes of honor.
Archer ended up collaborating very often with two Rhodes Island Groups:

[Working alongside EMIYA I can say that he is certainly a great swordsman, but his technique is bordering on suicide, leaving deliberate openings, in order to predict the enemy's attack and counterattack. A style so idiotic that it is intelligent, but highly risky. How he is still alive is a mystery.

EMIYA's unique "Originium Arts" allows him to freely draw and utilize weapons depending on the situation, making him one of the most versatile Operators on Rhodes Island.
It is also a point of interest for the Department of Engineering and the more studious Casters.
Mash who is in great spirits was happy to explain the basics of Archer's makeup.
According to the Black Kabbalah, it all begins with the magic of projection, also called Gradation Air, a practice that involves the materialization of objects, in accordance with the imagination of the Magus, through the use of magical energy.
The gradation comes from the fact that the created object slowly fades away after being created, and the air is an allusion to the fact that said object is made of "nothing".
The concept behind this magic is quite simple: to shape magical energy into the material composition and design of an object imagined by the magician.
The object is not eternal, since it is recognized by the world as a ghost that does not belong to the natural world, and will be erased as an inconsistency.
The better the image in the caster's imagination, the more stable and durable the object will be, and it can be further improved by having a technical knowledge of its construction, such as a blueprint, or by having materials upon which to superimpose the desired shape.
The concept was simple for the Casters and geniuses of Rhodes Island to understand, but then Mash went into detail about how exactly the trick works for EMIYA.
Projection is Archer's personal variant of Gradation Air, called Tracing due to the unique Air, "Trace On", used for its activation.
With the extra effort, it is possible to produce incredibly stable ordinary objects that can remain in the world seemingly indefinitely after their creation, unless they are broken or discarded.
Additionally, whenever you replicate mystical items, you can faithfully copy their special abilities, and any abilities performed by their owner are available for use.
Mash told us that trying to replicate Projection is a waste of time. It is a technique that only EMIYA can use, being a unique person.
[Even though I am a female knight, I enjoy visiting the Engineering Department and discussing with them. Lately the discussions have been about Trace On and its limitations. An interesting topic, but I much prefer discussing real engineering or training with EMIYA, along with my older sister, Nearl.

[All the weapons and artifacts of the Black Cabal are objects of great interest to me. How they were built is a huge puzzle to the entire Engineering Department, but I am also interested in Archer's skill. If all these Servants have an Artifact, then why does Archer only have his trick of copying and recreating weapons? Shouldn't he have something more tangible and unique? Could he have an ace up his sleeve?

[I love it when EMIYA-Nii comes to visit me, he gives me delicious sweets and if I've been a good girl, he shows me some of the weapons from his vast collection. I love EMIYA's weapons, they are so beautiful and unique, I wish I could keep them all, but my backpack is already full of the weapons I collected before I ended up in Rhodes Island.

[EMIYA copied my dragon slayer sword, I don't like that at all, it's a weapon that has been in my family for generations, the fact that he can recreate it and use it whenever he wants irritates me. But I can't do anything about it.

[EMIYA recreated my sword with difficulty, I didn't get angry, because he was smart enough to apologize by giving me a tub of ice cream.

[The fact that EMIYA can recreate my weapons is a bit of a worry. But it is a relief that he can't seem to use them to their full potential like I do or that he seems to have difficulty creating them. I believe that more powerful weapons are more expensive to make through his magic trick.

[The more I learn about the Black Cabal the more obvious it becomes that these are not normal people. Not to brag, but I am probably the greatest blacksmith to ever set foot on Rhodes Island.
I understand more than anyone how powerful these Servants' weapons are. EMIYA is truly unique among his peers.
He has something unique, it is not something tangible, but something abstract that comes from within him. When I look into his eyes I do not feel like I am looking at a man, but as if I were looking at a factory that can produce any kind of weapon. What really is the Black Cabal and its Servants?

One day, Amiya after visiting Mash in her room to talk about things between girls, found a page with information about Emiya and brought her to Kal'tsit to know what to do.
On the first page there is written what looks like a poem or a kind of spell, Emiya seems to use these verses when using her unique "Originium Arts":
"I am the bone of my sword
Steel is my body and fire is my blood
I have created over a thousand blades
Unknown to Death,
Nor known to Life.
Have withstood pain to create many weapons
But yet, those hands will never hold anything
So as I pray, Unlimited Blade Works.
My body is made out of swords.
My blood is of iron and my heart of glass.
I have overcome countless battlefields.
Not even once retreating,
Not even once being understood.
He was always alone, intoxicated with victory in a hill of swords.
Thus, his life has no meaning.
That body was certainly made out of swords."
On the second part of the page there is the saver's calligraphy that analyzes the different meanings of the spell / poetry:
"I am the bone of my sword" reflects how EMIYA sees himself as a tool for others to use and literally his bone makes up the core of it.
"Steel is my body and fire is my blood" reinforces the imagery of his physical being a sword that the world wields for their purpose. A sword has no thought or purpose but simply perpetuates those of the wielder, which can be good or evil.
"I have created over a thousand blades" refers to himself having been made to commit thousands of atrocities.
"Unknown to death nor known to life" shows how EMIYA's bleakness of no longer the meaning of neither life nor death just like a sword wouldn't known what these things are either. This mentality differs severely from his younger self who still had a strong sense of justice and understood the importance of life and death.
"Have withstood pain to create many weapons" once again refers to himself having to contradict his previous belief in order to preserve this ungrateful world over and over again.
"Yet, those hands will never hold anything" paints a picture of sadness that he himself being the weapon will never be the wielder but just a tool to be wielded by somebody else and that he will never achieve happiness or justice or anything at all.
"So as I pray, Unlimited Blade Works" is the final chant to create the Reality Marble that shows his deepest desire to end this suffering by praying he no longer must serve as the Unlimited Blade Works.
Kal'tsit transcribed the information in his private and secure archives, then asked Amiya to return the document to its place and not to speak to anyone.
DIALOGUE
Appointed as Assistant: I will assist you in your duties, Doctor. I am used to being the unpaid assistant to a genius, although I am less good at the actual laboratory work and more at taking care of the work-dependent genius.
Talk 1: Everyone have their strengths and weaknesses. For me, it's Golden Arches and Blue Lancers. Just keep them off my team, would you?
Talk 2: The things I dislike? Let's leave the immature me aside, I can't stand immature ideals. Oh no, it's not about you. It's about me, Doctor.
Talk 3: My down time? Mostly just mess with my gear and in the kitch...uhh, the plumbing? Yeah.
Talk after Promotion 1: Do you want to talk about my amnesia, Doctor?
There is nothing to go into, when I was little, I was the only survivor of a terrible fire that erased my memory due to the trauma. Then, I lived a long life and experienced a great number of conflicts, which degraded my few things from my youth, the smile of my adoptive father who saved me from the fire, how my father died in his sleep after talking about his old ideals, the meeting with Artoria and random fragments about some meetings. Nothing more, nothing you want advice on how to recover your memory or live without having a past, you should talk to someone else.
Talk after Promotion 2: Doctor, you ask me what I think of my Master?
Despite having some common characteristics that make us compatible. He and I are immensely different at heart. When I see him, I don't think of a younger version of myself, but a strange combination of Rin, Luvia, and Artoria. A brilliant mind and a tendency to act like a Tsundere; pride and respect for one's social status and lineage; born with a great destiny and immense responsibilities. I have been blessed and cursed with an extremely capable and talented Master, who constantly reminds me of the ghosts of my past. Plus, he is constantly accompanied by a very kind girl who reminds me of Sakura. Even when I have a stroke of luck, I receive bitter misfortune.
Talk after Trust Increase 1: What kind of life do Servants live? Exactly. Once you get to know us, they're not that different from you. There are individual differences between Servants, but some of them look forward to eating and sleeping. Me? I... well, I enjoy the food. I'm mostly the one who prepares it.
Talk after Trust Increase 2: My favorite swords are Kanshou and Bakuya. They were crafted more for the sake of crafting, as if questioning the meaning of the swordsmith, than for any real idea behind their creation. They were created without vanity, and lack a sense of purpose found in other swords. They contain no fighting spirit to defeat others nor a competitive spirit to beat other weapons, and they contain neither the desire to be famous nor the faith to accomplish great 's no surprise that they ended up being used by someone like me.
Talk after Trust Increase 3: Doctor, you ask me why I act like a strict mentor to Amiya? She reminds me vaguely of myself as a young person, an idealist, with an impossible dream, inexperienced, surrounded by extraordinary people that she has to lead. Plus, Amiya's similarities to Mash only encourage this behavior. If Mash had ears like Amiya's, I would believe they were relatives or something.
Idle: Doctor, you fell asleep on your desk again, it's not good for your health and your back. I understand that you are a busy person, but you need to take care of yourself, eat regularly, sleep at least eight hours a night and spend quality time with your Operators. If you don't, I will tell Amiya, that girl cares a lot about you. Make sure you treat her properly.
Onboard: I'm Archer, I'm the best at what I do. But what I do isn't fun.
Watching Battle Record: Half of success in battle is knowing your enemy as well as you know yourself. Everyone should study past Operations from multiple angles to understand their opponents' habits and how they can improve.
Promotion 1: Apparently my services are so appreciated that I've earned a promotion. This means I'll have to work harder on my next assignments, after all I have to protect my new reputation as an Elite least this way people will stop calling me mommy.
Promotion 2: In my youth, I dreamed of becoming a Hero of Justice, someone who could save everyone. Eventually, I learned that it was an impossible dream to achieve. But dreams are hard to give up, and now that I am a Sniper Operator of the highest rank, I have fallen into a role that mirrors my old dreams, protecting the weak and the sick from injustice. Doctor, I think I have a mental illness, because I have not learned from my past mistakes.
Added to Squad: I'll be joining this squad, to make things easier I'm good at long range combat, I know a thing or two about sword fighting. If you need a helping hand fixing something or in the kitchen I'm available.
Appointed as Squad Leader: If I'm going to be the leader of this squad, I'm going to need to know who's good at what. To make this machine work properly, I need to know every single cog in the wheel.
Begin Operation: Fine. Leave it to me, Doctor.
Selecting Operator 1: We should be off. You ready to move out?
Selecting Operator 2: I am with you. Whatever your order, I will at least hear you out.

Operation cleared (4-star): You know, it's almost sad to know that this battle is over. I've seen many battlefields, but this is something of a cure for Oripathy is a big goal, almost like saving the world. As long as you fight for a worthy cause, I'll be there too.
Operation cleared (3-star): They just never learn. We've defeated countless monstrosities, overcome a thousand hardships, but the enemies keep appearing in an endless loop. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Operation failed: Don't feel like a failure for losing a battle, the important thing is to get out alive and fight the war another day. I have lost countless faces, but in the end I stood on a hill of swords and had the last laugh.

Trust Tap (Doctor - Male): Poor me I found myself an employer in need of affection, Amiya still doesn't have the courage to do something serious, I'll take you to your room. (EMIYA takes the Doctor in bridal style).
Trust Tap (Doctor - Female): This is not among my attributes as an Archer or Operator of Rhodes Island, but if you want a hug, I'll give it to you, but let's keep it between us.(EMIYA hugs the female Doctor tightly, then suddenly Amiya and Archer's "Harem" appear in the corridor.
