Her heart skipped a beat as she still feel the hotness in her ear. Her gaze then fully opened before she stood up.
Just as she stood up, her body swayed and was about to fall when a strong and powerful muscular hands suddenly wrapped firmly around her saving her from falling.
Hannah stared at the man who had instinctively saved her from falling. Did he predict that she would fall?
He swiftly carried her in a bridal style and asked,
"Are you unwell?"
Hannah shook her head. Her head was spinning painfully.
The next words he said made her stunned and disbelief.
"Lean your head on my chest".
Hannah gulped hard as she slowly leaned her head on his chest as Logan left the room in a huff to rush her to the hospital.
Back in the five star hotel,
Scarlett was still sleeping after the intimacy she had with him last night. The man who had pass the night with the lady he slept with had already left in the early hours of the morning.
Lashes quivered, and eyes slowly flickered opened before her emerald green eyes came into view.
She stared at the ceiling for a while and turned to look at the other side of the bed only to find it empty. She clenched her jaw harshly before getting down from the bed. She limped her way to the bathroom to wash up as she didn't expect Logan to leave.
But now that they had sex twice, she was confident that she will get pregnant for him. With that thought in mind, she smiled happily as she got ready to work for the day.
Logan was driving like lightning as he made forceful u turns on the road He was driving in a max speed as though reaching the hospital on time was the most important thing at that moment. The moment he had saved her from falling, she had lost consciousness on him.
After driving for roughly fifteen minutes, Logan rushed out of the car in a flash and went to the other side of the car and open it as he carried Hannah out.
"Please don't die on me." He whispered softly,his voice surprisingly laced with worry. This was so unlike him.
He dashed into the hospital as the nurses rolled a stretcher for him to place her on it.
After putting her on the bed, she was wheeled to the operation theater(OT) for the craniotomy emergency surgery. Dr. Greg rushed into the theater as he went to perform surgery on her.
Logan ruffled his disheveled hair as he hadn't expected her to collapse her. She was perfectly fine. He had come and wanted to see her and explain to her about some things.
He didn't know why he couldn't see her tears streaked face anymore. It felt as though each time she hurts, it makes his heart constricted in a certain way he couldn't describe. Since the moment Hannah told him Scarlett told her they got intimate, he hasn't had the chance to monitor her. He knew no matter whether a woman loves her husband or not, he wasn't meant to cheat on her.
"Technically, he didn't cheat, he was drugged and he will find a way to make Scarlett pay for dragging Hannah into their business".
Hours passed by and the green light finally off indicating that the surgery was over. The door to the theatre opened and Doctor Greg walked out.
"How is she?" Logan asked worriedly. He didn't even realize his voice trembled.
"She is out of danger for now." The doctor replied as he moved to the side for the nurses to wheel Hannah to ICU(intensive care unit).
Logan didn't say anything else again as he rushed towards them to the ICU.
Dr Greg couldn't help but smile knowingly. He knew the man was in love with his wife, but his cold blooded nature wouldn't let him admit it. He only hoped Logan doesn't regret it. With that, he went back to his office to get Hannah's file.
Inside the presidential ward,
Hannah was still unconscious. There was an IV drip on her hand and an oxygen mask ok her face.
Logan sat in front of her as he stared at the unconscious woman in front of him. His expression was back to be unreadable as usual.
His hair slightly disheveled as he waited patiently for her to wake up for only God knows how long. While he was waiting, his phone buzzed and he quickly took it out and picked it when he saw the caller ID was Chen.
"Hello!"
"Logan, I have found out the reason why Gregor came to Sutherland." He said casually.
"He came to see the woman that made you kill his men and also to get acquainted with a family member of yours." He explained calmly.
"Acquainted with a family member of mine?" Logan asked suspiciously.
"Yes I don't know the person but I had my men investigate. So I find out it's your aunt and I don't know why she is working for him. Some thing is up. " He explained calmly.
"Send the information to Charles and tell him to find out why Tessa Emerson is working for Gregor." He ordered coldly.
"Sure, I will get back to you". Chen said and hung up. While Logan narrowed his gaze suspiciously.
Not only was he suspicious of Scarlett and the Fledds, he should also cast his suspicion card on his aunt. Something is definitely up with her.
He closed his eyes tightly as though he wanted to block the world for a short while until he suddenly heard that faint soft voice,
"Logan"! A soft faint voice slowly called out to him. Hannah had slowly regained consciousness. But she still felt weak, so she could only call out his name.
Logan eyes fluttered opened and asked,
"Why didn't you tell me you were unwell? Are you thinking?" Logan asked with a blank tone.
"I'm fine". She managed to say with a small voice. While Logan just stared at her.
