The gate yanwed opened for the couple as they walked inside the cemetery. As they walked hand in hand, Hannah's heart squeezed painfully as ever, tightening her grip on his hand.
Logan felt her uneasiness and slowly stroke her hand in a gentle manner to calm her down as they walked. Though, they didn't say anything, but the little physical contact they had could ease the atmosphere.
They kept walking until they finally arrived at an old graveyard. There were two graveyards.
Hannah slowly let go of his hand as she fell on her knees, her hands trembling slightly. She slowly touched the graveyard feeling the coldness of the grave.
Tears glimmered in her eyes as they rolled down her cheeks.
Logan stepped back and decided to give her some time. He took few steps back and took out his phone to call Chen.
After a few rings, Chen finally picked on the other end.
"Have you posted the video of Scarlett online?" Logan asked with an emotionless tone.
"Not yet. Let her make her move before doing it and also, I have find out about the big thing the Fledds are planning to do. The Boswells company is also doing well, no shady things happening ". Chen explained and Logan frown deepened before asking,
What is the Fledds planning?
"Gregor is helping them with something from Germany,also, the Fledds are planning to expand the sex slavery, maybe if you can go there, our mysteries will be solved." Chen explained and Logan said okay, since he was planning on traveling to Germany the next day. And also what's with the expansion of the sex slavery?
After that , they spoke some more with Chen teasing Logan about his feelings for Hannah.
But as usual, Logan hung up without saying a word. He doesn't love her and he can never love her. He is only using her to get revenge.
While he was staring far ahead, he didn't notice that a straight bullet was flying towards the graveyard until he heard a loud blast and his mind froze as he ran to save Hannah.
Hannah who had heard the gunshots froze in shock as she couldn't take it and black out.
Logan suddenly appeared before her and carried her princess style before leaving the cemetery and placed her in the car before driving straight to the hospital. They arrived at the hospital in less than 45 minutes before Logan hastily got down from the car and ran to the passenger seat to open the car door and carried her straight inside the hospital.
Some nurses came rolling in a stretcher as he placed her on top it as she was wheeled to the emergency room. While the doctors and nurses were attending to Hannah, Logan ruffled his already disheveled hair as he wondered who had fired that gun. Was it even a gun or rifle? Who was targeting his wife?
He took out his phone to call Charles and after a few rings,Charles picked up.
"Dude, finally! I can't find any news about the Fledds. They seems to be hiding very well. " He said but Logan changed the topic and told him what had happened at the cemetery.
Charles frowned before saying,
"If they can't get you, they will get a weaker target. Someone like Hannah is an easy bait. So you'd have to protect her very well". Charles explained calmly wondering who was suddenly after Logan's wife.
I think I know who it is. Logan said coldly and heartlessly. He won't spare those who try to hurt his family. His face grew darker as the thought of people trying to hurt his wife flooded his mind.
"I will investigate the cemetery and get back to you". Charles said and hung. While Logan sat down on the conjoined chair waiting for her.
In the five star hotel,
Brielle was so surprised that Gregor stood up the moment she sat down. This man was really weird and strange.
"Can I stand up too?" She asked Don his right hand man.
Don nodded and she obeyed. As she stood up, Gregor began to walk with fast strides towards the entrance of the hotel while Brielle try to catch up with him. On reaching outside, the car door was opened for them to enter. On entering inside, the Chaffeuer started the car and drove straight on the highway.
While the car was speeding like a bullet, there was an eerie silence in the car,which made Brielle felt slightly uncomfortable. She couldn't with stand and finally broke the silence.
"Thank you for accepting me on this special date. " She said with a sweet small smile drawn on her lips.
Gregor who was quiet and had a blank expression finally turned to look at her with an amused face before speaking coldly.
"Why do you say special?" His voice was deep and filled with cruelty.
Brielle was used to it especially since the moment he had treated her like a nobody at the hotel. And now here they are talking slowly and in small bursts.
"Cause I heard it's rare for a man like you to just randomly pick a woman except they are special ". She replied with a small blush on her cheeks.
Gregor didn't say anything for a while and suddenly brought out his phone and texted someone before keeping it back in his pocket.
The car suddenly stopped moving and they were in the middle of a desert.
The car door opened and Gregor stepped out with Brielle. As they got down, Brielle furrowed her brows in confusion at where they are. Why did he bring her here? Weren't they supposed to go to a luxurious restaurant? What are they doing here? So many thoughts ran through her head as she kept staring at the cold and aloof man that hasn't said anything.
After a long of while of not taking the painful silence, she couldn't help but asked with a curious tone,
"Why are we here?"
