Rhea pressed the brakes gently, bringing her car to a stop in front of the towering iron gates that guarded the mansion. She glanced at the uniformed guards standing on either side. The gates didn't open.
Lowering her window, she leaned out slightly. "I'm here to see Leia," she said in a polite tone.
The guards exchanged a brief look before one stepped forward. "Apologies, miss. The Alpha has restricted all outsider entries into the mansion for the next few days."
With a quiet sigh, Rhea turned off the engine and stepped out of the car. She walked up to the gate, pulling out her ID card from her wallet and holding it up.
"I'm from the pack. Please," she said earnestly, "just ask the Alpha if I can speak with Leia. I won't take long."
The guard examined her ID carefully, then gave a small nod. "Please wait here," he said before heading toward the mansion.
