Chapter 050
In general, even though he didn't open anything particularly valuable, 300 Dao Power could be regarded as a small consolation. After all, the use of a Logia-type Devil Fruit places great demands on the body, and 300 Dao Power significantly enhances his physical attributes across the board. As a result, his endurance, resilience, and stamina had all risen accordingly.
After opening the pack
Rin didn't linger. He went straight to sleep.
In the blink of an eye, the next day arrived.
After breakfast, Rin continued accompanying Klar as they wandered around Alubarna, the capital of Alabasta. After all, aside from eliminating Crocodile, Rin had no other mission in the kingdom. And since Crocodile hadn't been located yet, he could only idle around for now.
Meanwhile
...
At Marine Headquarters.
Inside the Fleet Admiral's office.
Admiral Aokiji had returned from his mission and now stood quietly before Fleet Admiral Sengoku.
"How did it go, Aokiji?" Sengoku asked as he reviewed reports on his desk.
Hearing this, Aokiji nodded and replied, "They agreed. But… Fleet Admiral, why nominate them for the Seven Warlords of the Sea?"
"31 It's part of a larger strategy," Sengoku said, his voice low and serious. "Orders from above the Five Elders themselves. They want to use the system of the Seven Warlords to buy time to weaken Rin, the captain of the Pandora Pirates. Once his influence wanes, they plan to threaten him directly by taking Artoria into custody."
"All this… just for Artoria?" Aokiji frowned, clearly puzzled. "If that's the case, wouldn't it be simpler to send a direct strike force and apprehend her?"
Sengoku looked up. "Don't underestimate her. Artoria isn't an ordinary fighter her combat ability is at least on par with a Marine Headquarters Vice Admiral. Capturing her alive wouldn't be feasible unless we dispatch at least two Admirals and that's a risky move."
"You know how it is those Five Elders suspect Artoria might hold the secret to immortality. That's why they insist on her being taken alive. It's a gamble but they believe using the Seven Warlords as tools might pressure Rin into vulnerability."
"I still don't buy it." Aokiji's voice was flat but resolute, shaking his head. He clearly didn't support this plan.
"Oh?" Sengoku raised an eyebrow. "Why not?"
Meeting the Fleet Admiral's eyes, Aokiji spoke calmly. "Because when I looked into Rin's eyes—I saw it. That same unwavering resolve I saw in Red-Haired Shanks back in the day."
"…I see."
Sengoku fell into silence, his brows furrowing.
He understood exactly what Aokiji meant. On the Grand Line, those who carried the kind of conviction seen in people like Shanks, Whitebeard, or even the late Pirate King Gol D. Roger, all shared one thing in common—a dream. A dream so unshakable, it became visible in their very presence.
People like that… are not so easily broken.
Because they are people whose ambitions give them the strength to defy the impossible.
And if Rin truly shared that same spark, then perhaps…
Perhaps this pirate captain possessed the same terrifying potential as Shanks.
Sengoku sifted through his mental notes on the Pandora Pirates and felt an ominous weight settle over his shoulders.
Artoria rumored to hold the secret of eternal life, with powerful combat capabilities.
Casa who had consumed a Mythical Zoan-type Devil Fruit. A rare and dangerous power.
And then there was Enel formerly known as "God" of Skypiea. His exact abilities were unknown to the World Government at large, but given that he had joined Rin's crew, it could only mean one thing his strength was not ordinary.
With comrades like these, the future of the Pandora Pirates was unpredictable and possibly catastrophic.
But what worried Sengoku most wasn't their growing power.
It was the Five Elders.
Even with the Navy's full strength, it might still be possible to eliminate the Pandora Pirates in one swift strike. But convincing the stubborn Five Elders to approve such an operation?
That was the true challenge especially with the lure of eternal life hanging in the air.

As for what was going on in Marineford
Rin, of course, had no clue.
At that moment, he was still in Alabasta, strolling the bustling streets of Alubarna with calm leisure.
Before he knew it, three days had passed.
Three nights later, just as the moonlight painted the desert in silver—
Rin stood near his hotel window when a sudden flash caught his eye.
A signal flare burst from the direction of the palace soaring high into the sky before exploding in a dazzling burst of red light.
Seeing this, Rin's eyes instantly gleamed with anticipation.
"They found him?!"
He muttered to himself, and without a second thought, turned into golden light and vanished.
Within moments, Rin reappeared inside a room within the royal palace.
Kobra was already waiting alone.
When Rin suddenly materialized in the room, Kobra only flinched for a brief second before calming down again.
"I've deployed most of my loyal soldiers to conduct a covert investigation over the past few days," Kobra said without hesitation. "We've successfully located Crocodile."
"Where?" Rin asked, cutting straight to the point.
"Inside an underground casino, hidden beneath the central district of Rainbase. It appears he took it over by force and turned it into his base of operations." Kobra handed Rin a folded document. "This contains the map and access layout."
"Good."
Rin grinned as he took the file. "No need to worry about the rest. After I deal with Crocodile, I'll leave Alabasta. That's my word."
With that, Rin once again transformed into golden light and vanished.
Kobra watched the light fade and muttered under his breath, "Let's hope that's the truth…"

Returning from the palace
Rin made his way back to the hotel and immediately summoned his crew: Artoria, Casa, and Enel.
"What's going on, boss? I just lay down." Enel yawned, lazily munching on an apple that had seemingly materialized from thin air.
Rin waved the document in his hand. "We found Crocodile—details are all here. We're heading out now. The sooner we finish this, the sooner we can leave."
"Got it." Casa nodded without hesitation.
Artoria also stood up, her eyes sharpening with focus.
