Besides assisting with creating a ninja village, the two sides discussed some other matters.
But those later matters no longer concerned Aoba; only Shizune kept a pen and paper, diligently recording the contents of the negotiations.
About an hour later, Tsunade looked at the sky and said, "It's getting late. We have time in the next few days, lodging has already been arranged, so let's discuss the rest tomorrow."
Asama Sandayu nodded, following the host's lead.
"In that case, we'll follow the Hokage's arrangements and discuss details tomorrow."
The group left the conference room together. Koyuki immediately clung to Aoba.
"Aoba, I've never been to Konoha before. Why don't you take me around and show me?"
Before Aoba could answer, Tsunade pulled him aside, "Lady Koyuki, Aoba has other things to attend to right now. He'll accompany you tomorrow."
"I see."
Koyuki looked a little disappointed, but she quickly composed herself. It was only one more night's wait.
"Very well then, see you tomorrow."
After politely greeting everyone, she left with Asama Sandayu.
"Sensei, is there anything else?", Aoba asked Tsunade in confusion.
Tsunade narrowed her eyes, "What, you really want to go build a relationship with that daimyo?"
"That's not what I meant," Aoba denied it.
"You don't mean that?"
Tsunade shot him a look, then walked ahead and asked, "How's your Edo Tensei training going?"
Aoba hesitated, "I've mostly mastered it, but I might need to practice a bit more."
Tsunade paused, surprised. She hadn't expected this brat, who spent every day running around with girls, to almost have the Edo Tensei down.
"I've already arranged a few death-row inmates from Konoha Prison for you," She had known this stage would come, so she had prepared in advance.
"Thanks, sensei."
The two chatted as they reached the office door.
Two people were already waiting there.
Seeing Tsunade finally arrive, Jiraiya looked a bit annoyed, "Tsunade, if you had something, you didn't need to have us wait here so early, did you?"
"Yeah, yeah, Granny Tsunade, we've been waiting for half an hour," Naruto nodded in full agreement.
"Don't call me granny anymore."
Tsunade gave Naruto a whack on the head, then opened the office door and walked in.
"I didn't expect the meeting to run so long. Come on in."
"It's always been called that before."
Naruto muttered under his breath, then walked over to Aoba and asked quietly, "Aoba, do you want to go get ramen together later?"
"If I'm free later I'll go with you," Aoba replied.
"Great."
Naruto's complaint vanished from his face.
"Tsunade, you called us back so urgently, is there something important?", Jiraiya couldn't help but smile at Naruto's expression, then asked about the real matter.
Tsunade sat down in her seat, glanced at Aoba, and said, "You proposed the plan, so tell us."
Aoba didn't think much of it and said directly to Naruto, "Naruto, this matter doesn't really concern you much, but I thought I'd ask you anyway."
"Huh?", Naruto was full of question marks.
Aoba paused, then said, "It's about your parent."
"My parent? Didn't they already tell me about my parent?", Naruto looked puzzled.
Aoba lowered his eyes to think, then said plainly, "Naruto, do you want to see your parent?"
Naruto was even more confused, "What do you mean?"
"You're going to have a chance to meet your parent," Aoba said.
"Meet my parent?", Naruto's eyes widened in disbelief, his voice trembling with excitement.
"Aoba, is that true?"
Even Jiraiya frowned, doubtful, "Aoba, Naruto's parent… Kushina has been dead for many years. How can he possibly see her again?"
Aoba nodded, "We decided to use a forbidden technique to summon Naruto's parent's soul back from the Pure Land into the living world."
"This… this is not—"
Jiraiya's frown deepened. He looked at Tsunade, "Tsunade, what's going on here?"
Naruto didn't feel anything odd. He only knew he very possibly could meet his parent.
"Let the brat finish telling it."
Tsunade didn't want to entertain Jiraiya.
Aoba continued, "We captured the real culprit behind the Nine-Tails' rampage. That guy has a very deep connection with Naruto's parent."
"You found the real culprit behind the Nine-Tails' rampage?"
Jiraiya exclaimed in surprise; he hadn't expected that, "Wasn't that the one who killed the old man back then?"
Aoba nodded, "Yes. He wore a spiral mask and claimed to be Uchiha Madara."
"Of course!"
Jiraiya's expression turned serious. He clenched his fists, both disciple and teacher had been killed by that man; anyone would feel anger.
BOOM!
At the same time, an unusually intense chakra suddenly erupted from Naruto.
"Naruto, what's happening?"
Jiraiya immediately grew tense, and Tsunade stood up from her seat, frowning at the red chakra emanating from Naruto.
"I'm not sure. It seems to be that big fox, it's making a huge fuss right now."
Naruto was also a little alarmed; this had never happened before.
Aoba was speechless. The Nine-Tails was getting ptsd just from hearing Uchiha Madara.
He reached out and patted Naruto's abdomen once, and the chakra on the boy instantly calmed.
"There, it's fine now."
"Ah, this…", Jiraiya, who had been ready to form hand seals and act, froze for a moment when he saw Aoba easily suppress the Nine-Tails.
"Back to the earlier topic. Although that man claimed to be Uchiha Madara, his true identity is Uchiha Obito, who was a student of the Fourth Hokage."
"Back then, Naruto's parent was also kind to him, so I want to use a forbidden technique to summon Naruto's parent back to the world, to let her know the truth of those years, and to let Naruto meet his parent."
"This…"
Jiraiya wanted to say more, but seeing the look of eager anticipation in Naruto's eyes, he could not find words.
He asked another question instead, "What about Minato?"
"The Fourth Hokage's soul is inside the Shinigami's belly; I can't do anything about that."
"Oh. Then it seems I can't see the old man either."
Jiraiya fell silent. His expression wasn't opposition, but it was tinged with disappointment.
"Aoba, when can I see my mother?", Naruto was impatient.
Although not being able to meet his father left him a little regretful, seeing his mother would still be wonderful.
He had heard from the pervy sage that his mother was a very gentle person.
