The Records had favorites. That was something, by now, many beings across the universe acknowledged and accepted, even if it was not a truth they did so willingly.
Being one of The Records' favorites meant many things. But the most crucial aspects of all were the protection it granted, and the overwhelming luck that followed.
Being protected meant you could afford to be daring, to take risks. Being lucky meant those acts of madness would end with you gaining strength and authority.
And thus, the loop went on and on, until nothing in the universe could threaten you anymore.
But then… what happens when all of The Records' favorites belong to the same race?
