Chapter 460 – Mournful Cry
Treehouse moaned in pain as it observed its own body severed into seven parts. The agony was nothing like it had ever felt. It was like watching your own soul forcibly cut into seven pieces.
The seven parts began to float, then blue chains — thick as the bark of a World Tree, made of unknown metals — appeared out of existence with a clicking metallic sound, binding the seven Kingdoms to each other.
All was in chaos.
Many of the elves fell away from the cracks, disappearing into the abyss below, where they would either be killed by still-living void beasts or by the environment itself.
Those who managed to find themselves in one of the seven Kingdoms were no better.
Most were kneeling, unable not only to bear the weeping of the Will of Treehouse, but also the pressure that was being exerted on their souls.
