Chapter 15 - CHAPTER 15 – FRIENDSHIP

*Note: I didn't upload any chapters yesterday because I had to work again, and believe me when I say I was exhausted. However, today I didn't have to work, so here is the chapter.

By the way, please refrain from leaving more comments saying that there's too much text. Trust me, all the texts are as condensed as possible, and any further summarization would make the entire paragraph lose its meaning. Thank you.

One more thing, it would be really important to me if you could share your opinions on my fic so far and how I can improve it. No need for reviews, just comments would be enough. Thank you!

And now... have a good day! :)

...

The students' murmurs continued unabated, and many of them were about Akira, comments like, "A beauty like her with a gloomy guy like him?" or "Why someone like him?!" Typical remarks you'd hear in an anime, where jealous classmates pick on the protagonist out of pure envy and frustration over their own inability to get a girlfriend. Maybe if they went outside and actually tried to approach a girl, they wouldn't be so bitter.

However, all these murmurs became so loud that the teacher was forced to intervene again.

"Silence!" – said the teacher angrily.

Since when were his students as loud as chimpanzees? All this over a single girl? Why did the male students in his class always turn into fools whenever a beautiful girl appeared? The old teacher couldn't help but sigh to himself.

At the sound of their teacher's voice, everyone immediately fell silent, but that didn't stop them from silently cursing their luck and Akira's, shooting him the occasional hateful glare.

As for Lala, she simply watched the scene with a cheerful smile. She didn't care what others thought of Akira; what mattered to her was that she liked him and wanted to be with him. Other people's opinions meant nothing to her.

"Ehem, Miss Lala, you can sit there, in the seat in front of Rito-kun, the brown-haired boy" - said the teacher.

"Ok! Although I would prefer to be by Akira's side, but if I can't, there is no problem!" – Lala said.

She wanted to sit next to Akira, but the seat beside him was already taken. It wasn't absolutely necessary to sit there anyway, so Lala walked to her assigned seat. When she saw Rito, she frowned: why did he look familiar? But a second later, she brushed off the feeling, thinking it could happen to anyone, and sat down for the first time in her seat.

"Ok! Now that everything is back in place, let's start the class. Open the books on page 32 and Lala-san, you can share book with Sato-kun until you get your own" - said the teacher.

Cheerfully, Lala moved her desk closer to mine and we shared the book.

"Okay, let's start where we left off the other day..." – the teacher began.

"How did you do it, Lala?" – I asked curiously.

Obviously I already know, but not asking would be a bit strange.

"It was actually quite easy. I followed you to school and just asked someone where the principal's office was. I went there and asked him to admit me, and he made a strange face but accepted me right away. He even gave me this uniform. Isn't it great that he had my size?" - Lala explained with a smile.

That perverted principal... anyway, he was always a comic relief character in the manga. And although he constantly tried to grope young girls, he never really crossed the line, but if he tries to touch Lala or any of my future girls... I'll teach him a little lesson.

"Don't you like me coming to school with you?" – Lala asked curiously.

"It's not that, I was just curious to know how you managed to get in so soon" – I said quickly.

"Then it's okay" – Lala said.

Hours later.

After that little talk, a few hours had passed and it was finally time for lunch, so I took Lala to the school cafeteria so that she could buy something or at most, share my Bento with hers. I also tried to invite Yui, but as soon as I approached her, she left with a frown. I think I'll have to clarify some things with her later. I can't let my relationship with her be ruined just because of something like that.

Anyway, I took Lala to the school cafeteria, but since neither of us had money, we decided to share the Bento I brought.

"Don't worry, Lala. Tomorrow I'll make you a Bento for you too" – I said with a smile.

"Ok!" – Lala said with a smile as well.

After ordering an extra pair of chopsticks in the school cafeteria (they were free), I gave them to Lala and we started eating.

"Excuse me. Can we sit here?" – someone asked.

Bewildered, I looked straight ahead and saw that they were Momioka, Mio, and Haruna, all of whom were carrying their own Bento.

"Of course" – I said calmly.

"Thank you" – Mio said.

The three girls sat down, but just before they started eating...

"You must be Akira's friends! It's a pleasure to meet you!" – Lala said with a smile.

Lala is smiling almost all the time.

"It's a pleasure, my name is Sairenji Haruna and they are Momioka Risa and Sawada Mio. We also wanted to introduce ourselves, but we didn't know if we were disturbing and interrupting your moment as a couple" – said Haruna.

"Don't worry! We spend a lot of time together at home!" – Lala said undeterred.

"What, do you already live together?!" – Momioka asked surprised.

Haruna and Mio were also surprised, although Mio was more excited than surprised.

"Tell us everything! I want to know how you met and why are you living together!" – Mio said excitedly.

Normally Mio was calmer and more reserved, but lately, whenever they talked about Akira, she became more proactive.

"Girls, that's rude" – Haruna said frowning.

"It's okay, after all, we're all friends. Right?" – said Momioka.

"Of course!" – Lala nodded.

Since when is making friends as easy as that?

"Sure" - I nodded.

"Decided!" – Mio said excitedly.

"Okay, we're friends, but it's still rude to ask them to tell you something as private as that" - Haruna said.

They were friends, but even so, to ask something so intimate... it was too rude, especially for someone as polite as Haruna.

"It doesn't matter. It's not like we want to hide it" – I said.

"True" - Lala nodded.

"In that case... I'd also like to know if it's not a nuisance..." – Haruna said shyly.

"Wow, how daring you are, Haruna!" – Momioka said with a smile.

"Look who is talking..." – Haruna said.

"Anyway, all started when..." – I said.

I told them the story that Lala and I had made up beforehand. Lala knew that revealing the existence of extraterrestrial life on Earth was dangerous and forbidden by her father, so we prepared this story just in case something like this happened, which I knew would eventually occur. The story went like this: we were basically childhood friends who, due to her father's work moving her to another country, had to part ways, but not before promising each other that we would get married when we were older. So, when Lala had the opportunity to return two days ago, she came directly to my house, and since then, we decided to live together because, of course, we loved each other. Anyway, this is a summarized version; the story we told Haruna and the others was a little more detailed.

"What a beautiful story!" – Mio said surprised.

"Like a fairy tale..." - Haruna nodded.

"The truth is that it looks like a story out of a manga" - said Momioka.

It's true. Although, if they do become my women in the future, I'll have to tell them the truth about everything. I hope that day comes soon, because yes, I do plan to make Momioka and Mio my women, just like Haruna. I know it will take time, but it's not impossible.

"Well, it's the truth" – I said shrugging my shoulders.

"So jealous..." – Haruna said.

The two of them had such a beautiful story, one that began in childhood and even after all those years, they still kept the promise they had made to each other as kids. They were brave, unlike her, who couldn't even bring herself to talk to Rito. In that sense, she envied Lala. She also wanted someone like Akira in her life... Were Risa and Mio right? Was Rito not the right man for her? Could it be true that she needed to find someone who actually deserved her? Someone like Akira, perhaps?

"No! Haruna! What are you thinking? Akira already has Lala-san, plus you don't like him!" – Haruna said in her mind.

"Is something wrong, Sairenji-san?" – I asked curiously.

Haruna had frowned a little, and she was curious about what she was thinking.

"N-nothing, nothing is wrong with me!" – Haruna said with a slightly red face.

On the other hand, Momioka had a good idea of what Haruna might be thinking and allowed herself a small smile, one that quickly faded.

"By the way, you would have to talk to Kotewaga-san. I saw her leaving angry" – Haruna said.

"Yes... I tried to talk to her, but she ignored me" – I nodded.

"Who is Kotewaga-san?" - asked Lala curiously.

"Kotewaga Yui, she's a girl in our classroom and our friend" - said Momioka.

"You mean that girl you tried to invite but who left without looking at you?" – Lala asked.

"Yes, that's her" – I nodded.

"It's weird. I had seen Kotewaga-san angry with Akira before, many times, but I don't understand the reason for her anger this time" - Mio said.

"Is having a fiancée against the school's rules? It is possible that she was angry about that" – I said.

"I don't know, you should talk to her just in case" - Mio said.

"I will" – I nodded.

I was going to do it even if she didn't tell me.

Lala looked at Akira for a moment and understood the situation. It was possible that, even if she wasn't in love with Akira, this girl, Yui, had feelings for him, which would explain her anger. However, even if that were true, Lala wouldn't intervene. She had already made her stance on Akira having a harem clear. If Akira liked that girl, then it was fine with her. Across the galaxy, there were thousands of powerful nobles who had harems of dozens of women. And with a few exceptions, none of those women were truly in love with the noble, their marriages were simply for power and wealth. While the women sought the influence that came with the union, the noblemen were mostly interested in their bodies. But Akira was different. Lala knew he didn't just want their bodies, he wanted their hearts, too.

Although… she didn't really understand what "their bodies" meant exactly. Her parents had never wanted to explain it to her. Still, maybe Akira knew something about it. She'd ask him later.

The rest of the lunch went smoothly and helped them get to know each other even better.

"We should stay out of school one day to go karaoke or something!" – Momioka said suddenly.

"Yes, that would be great!" – Lala said.

She didn't know it was Karaoke, but it sounded fun.

"I'm in!" – Mio said.

"Me too" – Haruna said.

"And me" – I said.

"Determined! We will set an appointment for later!" – said Momioka.

We all nodded and continued talking about other things until the bell rang and we had to go back to classroom. But just as I was about to leave the school cafeteria, I noticed Rito looking at me for some reason. Could he be jealous that I've gotten close to Haruna? Well, he can't really blame me, I never approached her, she was the one who reached out to me. At this rate, I figure Haruna will be mine much sooner than I expected.
