Chapter 105 - CHAPTER 102 – NUALIA FLOWER

*Note: Tomorrow is the early access of Inazuma Eleven Victory Road and obviously I'll play the early access so I'm very hyped!

Have a good day :)

...

"It's a Nualia Flower," Momo said.

"A Nualia Flower?" I asked curiously.

"That's what it's called," Momo replied.

I was about to say something else, but suddenly, Nana walked over and sat down, examining the plant closely.

"Did you actually bring it here?" Nana asked.

"You know I did. I couldn't just leave it there to rot," Momo said.

I wanted to speak again but was interrupted.

"That is…! It's a Nualia Flower. But how? Aren't they extinct?" Yami said, astonished.

"This…" I tried to say.

"A Nualia Flower! Incredible, I thought there were none left!" Lala exclaimed.

I was interrupted again.

"Hey. Can someone explain to me why you are all so surprised?" I asked curiously.

This is supposed to be the plant from which Celine is born. Why is everyone so shocked? They were surprised in the anime and manga too, but not this much.

"This is a Nualia Flower, a flower that is endangered… or rather, nearly extinct. There are only 3 left in the entire galaxy, and this is one of them," Momo explained.

"What? Why did they become extinct?" I asked curiously.

"The Nualia Flower was an extremely popular plant among nobles, but they removed so many from its home planet that, in the end, only three remained," Nana said.

"But what is so special about this plant? No offense, but it's hideous," I remarked.

"The Nualia Flower is a flower that grew on the planet Nualia Prime, a planet covered almost entirely by lush forests and very little surface water. Before my father, when King Rel ruled, this planet was discovered. At first, they believed it was just another primitive planet, like many others they had found, but they soon realized they were completely mistaken," Momo explained.

"Why?" I asked curiously. Although, I think I already know the answer.

"Under certain specific conditions, these plants could transform into beings very similar to human girls, with only one unique difference: a beautiful, enormous red flower on their head. These beings were primitive; they grew, reproduced, and died. They had no technology and lived happily on their planet," Momo continued.

"And what happened? Though I think I know already, it doesn't hurt to ask," I said.

"The most perverse nobles began to covet their beauty. The Nualia were a race composed entirely of 'females,' but they had no genitalia; instead, they reproduced asexually. When they reached adulthood, the Nualia would create a seed that they would plant in the Earth, and over time, this flower would grow and transform into another Nualia. But the nobles began to covet their beauty, and upon learning that they reproduced asexually and lacked genitalia… they began to investigate the Nualia's properties, successfully modifying their DNA and causing future Nualia to be born with female genitalia," Momo explained.

"Oh my God, don't tell me that…" I tried to say.

"Yes. Once they successfully modified them, they began to appropriate them, removing them from their home planet and selling them to other nobles and even some normal people. The nobles raised them, mostly as sex slaves. The trafficking of these beings was so rampant that when my father ascended to the throne, he completely banned the trafficking of Nualia, severely punishing anyone who possessed one. But it was already too late; the Nualia could no longer reproduce asexually, nor could they become pregnant with other races due to the genetic modifications they had undergone. Soon, only three remained. One of them is on her home planet and decided to live out the rest of her days there. Another is with a family who took her in and treats her as their own daughter, and the last one was found in a noble's house, still untransformed, and was quickly taken to my father's palace where it was planted in a huge garden," Momo finished.

"And you brought it here?" I asked, surprised.

"The planet Deviluke does not have the necessary conditions for this plant to mature, I know that, so I put it in my personal space, a more suitable place for its survival. However, my space, despite being ideal for most plants, couldn't develop this plant perfectly," Momo explained.

"And Earth can?" I asked.

"Earth, specifically this country, has climatic conditions very similar to those of its home planet, which is why I planted it here. But I couldn't do it until I was 100% sure that the plant could develop here, or otherwise, it would have withered and, consequently, died," Momo explained.

"So… the Nualia flowers were the nobles' sex toys, and they used them until they became extinct?" I asked. It was just a summary to check if I had understood correctly or if I had missed something.

"Yes. Furthermore, because they modified their DNA to have female genitalia, they lost their natural ability to reproduce asexually, and they couldn't become pregnant with other species because that's how they 'created' them," Momo confirmed.

"How cruel…" I murmured.

A race that lived happily on its planet without technology was subdued by a superior race and genetically modified to have sex with them until they were driven to mass extinction. Isn't this too cruel?

"That's life. There are hundreds of species in the galaxy, some more peaceful and others more conflictive. If my father weren't the King, the galaxy would be complete chaos. Races fighting for hegemony, destroying entire civilizations, enslaving them purely for pleasure and lust for power. It would be utter chaos if my father weren't there to govern the galaxy," Momo explained.

"Momo is right. When I was an assassin, I learned that evil exists throughout the galaxy, and the only way to prevent it from proliferating is thanks to the King. The King maintains order and prevents evil from spreading, allowing us to live relatively in peace. Without the King, the galaxy would be complete chaos, and dozens of species would have already been exterminated by other superior species… even Earth would have been invaded years ago," Yami agreed.

"Earth was discovered just as my father ascended to the throne. You were lucky in that sense; otherwise, we most likely wouldn't be talking to you now—we wouldn't be a couple," Momo explained.

The place fell silent for a few moments as the breeze gently swayed the leaves of the enormous plant towering before us, which made me reflect. In the manga, everything was happiness occasionally mixed with dark elements, but nothing extreme. In reality, it's different. Evil exists, and not everything is happiness. The King is absolutely necessary for there to be order in the galaxy; otherwise, Earth itself would have been invaded and destroyed, or, in the best-case scenario, we would have been enslaved. The women would suffer the worst, likely being violated or taken as forced wives, living a life worse than death. After thinking about that, I had an epiphany. This is not fiction; it is reality. And the King is not a decorative figure but someone necessary to maintain order in the galaxy. I, who will inherit the throne in the future, am not yet ready to assume a position of such importance because it's not just about having a harem of beautiful women; I need the strength to protect them all.

"Moving on to lighter topics… won't humans be alarmed when they see such a grotesque and enormous plant?" I asked.

Right now, it's not worth thinking too much about it. It's best to learn over time; after all, no one is born knowing everything, but knowledge is acquired over time. For now, I'll concentrate on my main objective: the harem. So far, my harem includes Lala, Momo, Nana, Yami, Mikan, and the newly arrived Kari. Mikado will probably join next week, but many To Love Ru heroines are still missing, and although there's plenty of time, there are also many girls, so perhaps I should be more assertive.

"Don't worry. Thanks to the device attached to the stalk, anyone not within a radius of... let's say, from the entrance gate, will see it as a simple tree. They might find it strange that a tree suddenly appeared, but... can't trees be transplanted? Besides, it's not like we have many neighbors," Momo explained.

The device looked like a Smartphone, but instead of APPS, the screen was completely green.

"What a convenient gadget," I said, surprised. And with many uses.

"I'm glad you say that because it was my sister who created it," Momo said.

I quickly looked at Lala, who seemed entertained looking at her Smartphone.

"You made it, Lala?" I asked curiously.

"Yes! I called it Hider-kun! Although it's a defective product because its range is so limited, since Momo said it was enough, I just gave up on improving it," Lala nodded.

"Sister is incredible, as always," Nana said proudly.

"Undoubtedly," I agreed.

"Hehe, I'm going to blush," Lala said happily.

"By the way. How long will the plant take to transform?" I asked curiously.

It didn't take too long in the manga, and although the exact time was never specified, I remember it took about 3 or 4 chapters to mature. However, since I read the manga a long time ago, I could easily be mistaken.

{Note: I have visited wikis and even asked ChatGPT, and none specify the time it takes to transform. It only stated that it didn't take long, just a few chapters, but since I have already changed so many things in this fic, changing a few more won't make a difference. Right?}

"Several months. I estimate around Christmas," Momo said.

"Christmas?! But it's October!" I exclaimed.

{Note: I probably made a mistake with the date here; however, please assume it is October. It's my fault for not writing down the dates, but if someone knows, I will modify this chapter. Otherwise, let's leave it as October; the month doesn't influence the story too much, at least not now.}

¨{Update Note: In future chapters the date will be October, so actually is at the beggining of October}

"Nothing can be done; it needs to absorb many nutrients before transforming," Momo said.

"Fine… I guess there's no choice. It can stay here, I don't mind," I said, shrugging.

Did I mind? Of course not! Because from this enormous and ugly plant, one of the most beautiful lolis I have ever seen will be born! Who wouldn't want a loli like that? Ahem, don't misunderstand me; Celine will be born as a child with the mentality of a 3-year-old at most. To try anything with Celine, it's better to wait a few years. I suppose when she is of legal age will be the right time, although… I will be 30 years old by then… I wonder if there is any way to acquire eternal youth. Is there an alien like that in the Omnitrix? Among more than two million aliens, I don't think it's impossible for an alien capable of granting eternal life to exist. After all, there are even aliens that can reverse time, travel between timelines, destroy a universe, and even create their own. Why can't an alien capable of granting eternal life exist? I refuse to believe that such an alien doesn't exist.
