Elliot was momentarily stunned as he watched Jenna fall in front of him.
"JENNA!" His mouth trembled and he threw himself to the ground, grabbing her to check on her.
But he froze the moment he realized she was completely unconscious. He leaned close to her nose and could see that she was breathing very softly.
Too softly, it was almost imperceptible. His clumsy movements revealed his state of fear, while his body trembled more intensely.
He didn't even hesitate for a second to take out the item he had just received hours earlier for his victory against the damned Clarks. That lifesaving item that had made him think he could become rich overnight or save him from certain death was immediately used on Jenna.
The item disappeared from his hand, but Jenna did not recover.
His hands froze and his breathing slowed dramatically as he felt his heart contract. Pain overwhelmed him.
