–Livana–
I kissed my son first, then my husband.
Damon jolted awake, thoroughly startled—most likely by my appearance.
"Baby," he whispered, but I pressed my forefinger gently to his lips.
"Don't wake our baby."
Too late.
Sky's eyes fluttered open, wide and startled—mirroring his father's reaction. He pointed at me accusingly as he rubbed sleep from his eyes.
"You!"
"It's Mama," I said softly.
"Mama?" He studied me, head tilting slightly.
"You don't like short black hair, baby?" I asked, voice light, almost teasing.
"No. No—pretty!" he declared.
I sighed and glanced at my husband.
"Still a badass babe," Damon murmured, sliding his hand around my waist and kissing my chest.
I wrapped my arms around him, lifted his chin, and kissed his lips—slow, lingering.
"I'll be back before Deanne throws a party for their baby."
"Kissy," Sky demanded, wedging himself between us.
I kissed Sky's head and hugged him close.
