The immense tiger halted and gazed at his prey. It looked weird but the digger was definitely smiling and his eyes formed to a slit. Sarah and the others had stormed the cafeteria, the place to have a meal and well, the ghouls were indeed having their meal. And they were not really happy about the interruption.
The temperature increased. (Demon in Nade's head: Just give me your body and al the pain will stop!) 'No!', Nade bellowed and ice spikes emerged from his body, shooting into every direction. For his luck the others were already inside the cafeteria. The tiger, not really faced by Nade's display destroyed the ice spikes flying his way with a swipe of his palm. Then he let out a powerful cry. In time Nade created an ice wall behind him, sealing of the way to the cafeteria. And the reason for why he had done that would now be seen. The cry of the tiger rattled every bone in Nade's body. And it felt like his organs and skin itself were being ripped apart. Nade spat blood and dropped to his knees. His breathing was weak, too weak. (Demon in Nade's head: If you die, I will simply return to my home and one day come back in my body or through the body of a human! So why are you fighting me that hard?) 'Damn, the tiger is problem enough and you too. Since we met that other demon you've become more active!' Nade struggled to his back, mumbling: 'Don't worry, I won't die and you will not return anywhere. You are stuck with me! And now to you!' Nade placed his palm on the floor and the floor froze at once. Ice even covered the walls. Nade's breath was still faint, but it was there. 'Will I be teared apart by your claws or will you freeze first?'
The ghouls launched at the three who were still near the entrance. While Rick and Emilia opened the fire, Sarah hurried to the ice wall. 'Nade! Nade!' Then she heard his voice, weak, yet she could understand every single word: 'Go to the basement and then to the helicopter. I will meet you on the roof! Go!' Sarah remained silent. She pounced the ice wall once and then lastly replied: 'Don't die! That's an order!' She turned around, gun firmly gripped. Rick and Emilia were doing their job well. Some ghouls had already fallen and more would send them. The ghouls who were alive suddenly ran at each other, gathering in the middle of the cafeteria. Their bodies merged. Of course, Rick and Emilia would not let them complete the transformation, however, one ghoul threw himself in the fire. He died so that the others could live and complete the transformation. They had merged to a giant ghoul. The arms of the ghoul were slightly longer than the legs, making the ghoul stand on all his four. The sight left Emilia and Rick for a beat frozen, however, Sarah stormed to the front, shooting the giant who covered himself with an arm. While running forward, Sarah gave her command: 'Distract this giant. I will head to the kitchen and fetch us something nice!' And both replied with a strong: 'Yes, Miss President!' To get back the attention of the giant, Ricked took out a grenade and threw it at the ghoul' Boooom. It had only burned some skin, but at least they had now the attention of the ghouls.
The tiger again let out a strong, this time stronger than the previous cry. Nade hid in an ice ball which shattered thereupon. Still it had done its job and Nade was still fine. The tiger shot forth body slamming Nade against the ice wall in his back. Nade immediately got up and reinforced the ice behind his back. A smile creeped on his face as the tiger went for another body slam. Nade slammed his fist into the ground. Thereupon the ground beneath the tiger shot up. The tiger crashed into the ceiling but it didn't stop at that. Then came the next ceiling and the next and the next…. The tiger broke through the last ceiling and the ground sent him flying. The tiger spined in mid-air and landed back on the ground. Just then Nade emerged from the hole. He first gazed at the red moon. 'So it has really began. Well, tiger it's time to end it!' The wind was strong, the clouds dark. (Demon in Nade's head: You've reached your limit! And you know it!) Nade ignored his inner demon. He rose on arm and suddenly fear shot through the tiger. (Demon: If you use more of my power without my yes you will collapse. Or worst die! And even if you don't die after you've collapsed ghouls will come eat your body. At second thought, yes go on! Let the ghouls devour you! Hahahaha) 'I can't die, an order from Sarah!' The clouds above him gathered, slightly turning white and in the center of the clouds a blue light shone. The tiger was shuddering but it knew that now was the best time to kill the enemy. And so it stormed at Nade whose eyes were now dark and blue. His hair turned white and grew. 'Let's end it!'
Rick and Emilia had bought enough time by now. They were alive but their bodies was everything but fine. They were one attack away from death. That's when Sarah came running back with a flame thrower and a bottle filled with oil, shouting: 'Come and get me!' When the ghoul turned to her she put the flame thrower and the bottle down and ran straight at the ghoul. The ghoul forgot about Rick and Emilia and focused on Sarah. With one leap the ghoul was above Sarah's head. And then his arms came flying down like giant hammers. Sarah leaped to the side. Due to the immense force behind the attack stones were send flying and one of these stones hit Sarah's head. She was still awake but she had lost her balance and fell to the ground, presenting herself as the perfect meal. The ghoul felt something on his back and that something was Emilia who had used the ghoul's back as springboard to get herself into the air, right above the ghoul who just in time rose his head for Emilia to pour the oils over his head and into his mouth. With a powerful jump Rick was now also in midair facing the ghoul and the flame thrower came to use. The ghoul's head went up in flames, yet it still swiped its immense arm at Rick. Rick used the flame thrower as a shield. Well his shield broke, damping the force of the palm. Yet, he was still slammed into the ground. Lastly, the ghoul dropped dead. Emilia ran to Rick and helped him up. His body was wrecked but he was alive. Sarah ran over to the black box, picked it up and joined the others. 'We are going up! Nade will be waiting for us there!'
It had turned so cold that it had started snowing. Yet, that snow was not simply snow but when coming in contact with it the body would freeze and exactly that was the case for the tiger. In his case but the snow was not enough to freeze him completely. Nade was still holding one arm up, only that the same light that had gathered in the center of the clouds was now radiating in Nade's palm. 'Ice Age –
