Chapter 84 - The Space Between Us

Cameron and Jasmine sat on the couch, the glow of the television flickering in the dimly lit living room. The movie had long since faded into the background, their focus shifting entirely to each other as their conversation unearthed the emotions they had both held back for so long.

Jasmine's eyes softened, the nervous tension in her shoulders melting away. "You have no idea how much that means to me," she murmured, her thumb tracing slow, reassuring circles against Cameron's skin. "I was so scared to ask… scared you'd tell me that I was too late."

Cameron exhaled, a small, breathy laugh escaping her lips. "You were never too late, Jasmine. I think… I think I was always waiting for this moment."

The weight of those words settled between them, heavy with meaning. Jasmine hesitated only a moment longer before she leaned in, her forehead pressing lightly against Cameron's. "Then can I kiss you?" she whispered, her breath warm against Cameron's lips.

Cameron didn't respond with words. Instead, she closed the small space between them, their lips meeting in a slow, tender kiss that spoke of all the longing, the regret, and the unspoken love that had built up over time. Jasmine sighed into it, shifting closer, her hands finding their way to Cameron's waist as Cameron cupped her face, deepening the kiss with a need that bordered on desperation.

The air between them grew charged, heavy with unspoken promises. When they finally broke apart for breath, Cameron's lips were slightly swollen, her eyes dark with emotion. Jasmine's gaze flickered over her, taking her in like she was something sacred. "I missed you," Jasmine whispered, her fingers brushing a strand of hair behind Cameron's ear. "I missed this."

Cameron swallowed hard, her throat tight with emotion. "Me too."

Jasmine's lips found Cameron's again, and this time there was no hesitation, no lingering uncertainty. The years of longing, of suppressing how much they truly needed each other, rose to the surface all at once, undeniable and raw. Jasmine shifted, guiding Cameron back against the couch cushions, their bodies molding together as hands roamed, relearning, rediscovering.

Cameron's fingers trembled slightly as they slipped beneath the hem of Jasmine's sweater, tracing the soft skin beneath. Jasmine shivered under her touch, responding with a quiet gasp that sent warmth flooding through Cameron's veins. Their kisses deepened, growing more urgent, more frantic, as they surrendered to the pull that had been drawing them back together all along.

There was a dominance that took over Cameron's urge, whether it be from passion or no longer being restrained. She kept a firm hold on Jasmine as she sat up, keeping her body pressed down Camerons lap. Clothes and insecurities became discarded steadily throughout their kiss.

Once Jasmine's top fell to the ground, Cameron immediately took to kissing and embracing her now exposed chest. Despite all this time, she still remembered every spot and touch that Jasmine yearned for. Cameron's fingers found themselves inside of Jasmine and she welcomed them graciously.

Cameron had long studied Jasmine's reactions over time, and today was no different. She stared at her as her fingers and mouth did what no one else had ever been able to do to Jasmine. Once a certain look– a certain sound– a certain jolt– was made, Cameron knew it was time for the next step.

Before it could begin Jasmine had already broken the routine by pushing Cameron back to laying down on the sofa. There was a small pause while they stared at each other, their eyes glued to the others.

"Let's continue on the bed." Jasmine said softly, her tone making it sound so innocent despite the vulgarity behind those words. She knew speaking that way could make Cameron move mountains if she tried.

That point was proven when Cameron managed to pick up Jasmine to bring her to the very place she had requested. Once they arrived, they both knew their night would continue for many more hours to come.

Every touch, every whispered name, every sigh against bare skin carried the weight of all the years they had lost. But now, in this moment, there was no past, no pain—only the overwhelming love that had survived it all.

As they finally came undone in each other's arms, it wasn't about rekindling what was lost. It was about finally, truly, belonging to each other in the way they were always meant to.
