Min-Cheol contemplated a bit, watching me as I battled with my thoughts at the realization of the truth that the world, I was so sure of it, was keeping away from me.
As if the world didn't want me to meddle.
Since meeting that shaman, I came to understand that the world has a will and can act on its own. If the real world could act that way, then what would stop a world created by pages and ink from acting on its own to restore balance?
I'd already messed with the plot a great deal, and I would keep messing with it so long that it did not appeal to me. So, it needed to do at least keep one part of the story from falling apart and thus messed with everything that could help me realize I was going through my heat when it was still early.
Sure, everyone knows I would've tried to prevent my heat if I knew it was coming so it had to come this far before I realized it.
When there was nothing I could do.
