Chapter 2 - the roar of justice

Abhimanyu's body was now surrounded by a red aura.

Stones, debris—everything around him began to levitate into the air.

The tiger-monster stared at him… as if it had recognized him.

But this Abhimanyu was no longer the same.

They now stood face-to-face—no longer just a man and a beast, but two wild tigers. Nothing could stop their clash now.

The battle of the jungle raged in the heart of Kolkata.

Abhimanyu bit his lips and, with rage, said,

"You… dared to touch my sister…?"

The tiger let out a ferocious roar—so loud that the entire city trembled.

In a flash, it lunged at Abhimanyu!

With claws like swords, it attacked—but Abhimanyu raised his Aura Sword and blocked the blow. The impact was devastating, destroying the building behind them like a tower of cards.

The tiger was stunned—how could a human stop its strike?

Abhimanyu smiled and said,

"You think… this time you'll be able to kill me?"

They clashed—and the impact sent shockwaves through the street.

Debris flew into the air as buildings crumbled.

Suddenly, Abhimanyu landed a powerful kick—

The tiger was flung into the sky.

Before anyone could react, Abhimanyu leapt after it—

And slashed deep into its shoulder with his Aura Sword.

The tiger's scream made the earth tremble.

Abhimanyu smiled and shouted,

"I told you… stay away from my sister!! What had she ever done to you!?"

He punched the tiger mid-air, sending it flying further into the sky—toward the outer atmosphere.

With tears in his eyes, Abhimanyu shouted,

"Why did you all do this…!?"

He kicked the tiger in the stomach… then slammed it into the ground with immense force.

The tiger rolled over, roaring in pain… but its strength was fading.

Abhimanyu walked toward it… eyes glowing red… his face burning with rage.

He looked at it like a beast eyeing its prey and said,

"You beasts killed MILLIONS of people…

So many children were orphaned…

Why!?"

The tiger remained silent—just a beast made for destruction.

Abhimanyu growled,

"Yes… in the end, you're just a monster.

And to destroy you…

I must become a monster too."

The tiger flinched—

It felt as though Abhimanyu was staring directly into its soul.

Suddenly… the tiger spoke.

In a deep voice, it said,

"You're asking… what I did? But in reality, I just followed the path of a beast."

Abhimanyu stepped back, perplexed. His voice shook as he said,

"Y-You can talk!?"

The tiger looked at him with firm eyes. Its voice echoed through the area.

"Yes… I am the King of Beasts.

I've eaten thousands of humans… so it's natural I can talk."

Abhimanyu looked even more confused and asked,

"Then why did you do this!?"

The tiger smiled, then laughed.

"Hahahahaha…

Because humans are weak. We are predators. And humans took everything from us."

Abhimanyu punched him in fury—

But nothing happened.

The tiger continued, unfazed:

"Humans slaughtered my family in front of me…

Burned my jungle to ash…

Displayed us in circuses and laughed…"

Abhimanyu punched again—

But this time, his rage felt different.

The tiger looked into his eyes and said with a deep, wise tone,

"The dumbest human… became wise.

But the wisest beast — is now extinct.

You all don't even know… why this is happening."

Abhimanyu stared at him, confusion in his eyes.

The tiger lay on the ground, covered in blood… but still speaking.

"My end is near…

But this is all… karma.

What humans did… they're now paying for it."

Abhimanyu turned toward Kreeti…

But just then—the tiger stood up again.

Bleeding heavily… but still standing tall.

The tiger said, with a gaze that could shatter bones,

"You're a great fighter…

But if you truly are a good human, then listen—

Over 500 species have gone extinct in just 100 years.

Nature was destroyed by your hands…

And by the time you realized it… it was already too late."

He continued, voice now calm but powerful:

"I am — the King of Beasts.

Hope of Beasts.

Protector of Nature.

I will destroy you.

This isn't revenge… it's justice.

In war, both sides think they're right…

But the truth is — no one is ever truly right in war."

At that moment, Abhimanyu drew his Aura Sword—

And in a flash, sliced off the tiger's head.

The head hit the ground…

And Abhimanyu stomped on it with force—

Crushing it completely.

The tiger's blood flew into the air.

Abhimanyu's aura gradually began to calm.

The Aura Sword vanished.

He was exhausted… but the story wasn't over.

He glanced once at the crushed head and said,

"Even in the face of the great tapestry of fate and destiny…

No one can escape it. But we can fight…

And become an anomaly in this world — to break free."

Suddenly, a wave of pain surged through his entire body.

His head split with pain… his body burned.

But he ignored it…

Because his eyes had fallen on Kreeti—

Lying on the ground — completely still.

Abhimanyu looked at her and shouted with all his strength,

"KREETI!!"

He ran toward her.

But suddenly… his legs gave out—

And he collapsed.

He stretched out his hand toward her,

Breathing as if he would die any moment.

"Kreeti… I won't let anything happen to you…"

But darkness clouded his vision.

Everything blurred… everything froze.

Slowly… his eyes began to close…

Silence… then horror.

From behind a crumbled wall, three children emerged.

Their faces filled with panic.

But suddenly… a sharp, rotting stench filled the air.

Ishan gasped in fear.

"Guys… look ahead…"

Yash peeked past Ishan —

And was horrified.

Everywhere — human remains… rotting corpses…

And over them — bug monsters devouring the flesh.

Tears flooded Anaya's eyes.

Her throat dried up.

She looked at the mantis and shouted, trying to run—

But her legs froze.

"We… we were running from one mantis… and now we're surrounded by THOUSANDS of insects!!"

Ishan quickly covered her mouth—

But it was too late.

The bug monsters had seen them.

Their mouths still full of human flesh…

Their yellow eyes hungry…

Hot red blood dripped from their bodies.

The children trembled in fear…

Yash suddenly looked back—

"GUYS!! LOOK BEHIND YOU!!"

Anaya and Ishan turned around—

But before they could even react—

A red claw slashed across Anaya's chest.

Ishan, still holding her hand,

Fell back in shock.

"This… this is the same… the same Mantis Monster… it followed us here too…!"

The mantis lifted Anaya into the air.

Her eyes were lifeless.

Yash and Ishan could only watch—

Speechless… helpless…

Tears streamed down their faces.

And then—

The mantis tore her body apart.

Blood splattered everywhere.

The bug monsters surrounded Anaya's scattered remains…

And began devouring every piece…

Yash and Ishan — were broken.

Their souls trembled. Both felt sick.

One bug monster now stood before them…

They had lost all hope.

But just then—

A shadow…

A warmth spread through the air.

Every monster froze in place…

A strange energy filled the atmosphere.

Yash looked around, shocked and slightly hopeful.

"What's happening… why are these monsters… stopping?"

Ishan's hands were still shaking.

"I don't know… maybe they're… afraid of something…"

Yash looked at him, confused.

"Afraid? What could they possibly be afraid of?"

Ishan looked up…

And said—

"Maybe… that man."

Yash slowly lifted his head — and screamed in shock —

"How… how can it be him!?"
