Chapter 5 - Chapter 5: God vs his Creation Part 1

Location: Outside of Star Palace

Feldway POV

I should've figured it out earlier.

From the moment I showed up in this world, something felt off. Not wrong—just... unfamiliar. Like there was something inside me that didn't match anything I'd known before.

It wasn't magicules. It wasn't authority. It wasn't divine energy.

It was something deeper—quiet, but powerful. Something that didn't need faith to work. In fact... it reacted the moment I stopped trying to believe in anything at all.

Flashback

I sat alone, palm open, watching the faint glow of strange particles floating above my skin.

They pulsed softly, like they were waiting.

"This isn't holy power... at least not how others use it," I muttered. "It doesn't come from faith."

It didn't respond to trust. Or devotion. Or prayer.

But the moment I dropped all of that and just focused on understanding it—like solving a puzzle—it responded.

On my twenty-sixth attempt, something clicked. The formula locked into place, the structure held. No flashes. No emotion. Just... results.

And that was enough.

End of Flashback

I raised my hand and let the energy flow.

"Disintegration."

A beam of pure destruction shot across the sky, bright enough to blind. It screamed toward Veldanava, shaking the heavens.

He just... laughed.

BOOOOM!

The blast tore through the clouds. The ground shook. The air burned.

But when the light faded, Veldanava stood there—not even a scratch. He casually brushed dust off his robe like it was nothing.

"Impressive," he said with a grin. "You figured it out first. And used it pretty well too. Hah!"

3rd Person POV

Even after such a powerful display, Veldanava remained completely untouched.

Feldway didn't let it rattle him. Quietly, he drew the energy back into his blade. This sword—gifted to him by the very being he now faced—glowed with refined, precise holy power.

"MELT SLASH!"

The blade came down, cutting through space itself. Veldanava didn't move. He simply raised a finger—and flicked the strike away.

Feldway POV

...Of course he blocked it like it was nothing.

If I keep using things he taught me, I'll always be beneath him.

No—if I want to beat him, I have to make something new. Something that doesn't follow the rules. Something mine.

I channeled the energy again—not out of belief, but because I knew how it worked. I made it listen. Not because I had faith—but because I refused to depend on faith.

Then, Veldanava spoke again. "Alright, time's up. Let me test your shiny new spell now."

I froze.

His hand was glowing—with my particle. The one I discovered.

What the hell?!

He copied it after seeing it once?!

"Activate—Armageddon!"

The space in front of me lit up. A shape took form—an angel, glowing and bright. She looked at me.

...Wait. Why is she looking at me? I didn't give her a command.

Then—

SHUNK.

A searing beam tore through her chest. Veldanava had already fired.

She fell, vanishing into light.

I gritted my teeth. "Thanks for the help..."

The air around me rippled. Light gathered.

"Now—Castle Guard."
