Hey father how you doing? I can't believe it has been 2 months since I last saw you.
Even though I know you will let out a fountain of tears for sending you this letter instead of telling you everything in person about all it contains. I believe it is better this way for now.
I think it will be better if I started at the entrance exam, as that is where I met my first ever friend Kazuki Emori.
I first saw him when we were writing our first test. During the entire exam he kept fiddle with his sword and to clarify I wasn't cheating. I took a peak and saw that he did not write anything on his answer sheet.
So I kept glancing at him until our final exam wondering what type of person he is. He soon noticed me and like any other person I looked away.
After the admins explained to us the rules and told us to take a break - I went to him (Kazuki) where he was sitting under a tree.
I started a conversation with him asking him where he got his sword and why he wants to become a ninja.
Unfortunately it seemed that he had one terrible past. As soon as our break was over we continued our talk into the forest.
Where we met a coward of a feudal lords son. From what I remember of that encounter is that he pissed off Kazuki, thanks to that I got to see his dark side.
I know that sounds like I planned it with the feudal lords son haha. The only reason I was glad to see it was because he was to cheerful for a person who's 14.
Soon later we made our way to the tower and passed the entrance exam together. When the exam was over we made our way to his house.
And you remember the time when I send you that letter asking you to stay by his house for the year.
Well for the first month of staying at his house I taught Kazuki how to fight just like you taught me. However, the month ended the way to quickly for my liking and the day of attending the academy came.
By the end of the day me and Kazuki made a friend by the name of Lia. I hate her narcissistic personality, she thinks she is above everybody and wants everyone to treat her like a princess.
Enough of her though. Three days later we met three other learners from our class at the training grounds.
Kazuki saw them sparring and found interest, approaching them on terms to test the fighting skills I taught him.
It was a shame we lost to those three and because of that we stayed at home for a week embarrassed to face them at the academy.
When we came back we found out classmates and other students gathering at the training grounds. Where our teacher explained about Ryusei.
"Ryusei which translates to flow of energy." The teacher said adding. "It's the basic energy ninjas use in their daily life."
"How it works is that a ninja extract Sei (which is a person's energy or aura) from his heart which they then use to circulate throughout their body in different pathways."
He grabbed a rock crushing it like it is glass as he continued. "When circulating the Sei they can boost their physical strength. If a ninja can master using Sei they could be able to walk on water, stick to the ground, tree, walk on the tree and increase their physical strength, speed and endurance ten fold."
The teacher also said if we were to be selected by the special force, we could even learn about how seals work. But, that is if am chosen.
He also mentioned that the amount of Sei a person is born with is the amount they will have for their entire life and if it were to run out they will die immediately or suffer chest pains until they pass away.
After two days he taught us seven ninja hand signs to help us control and circulate Sei.
The first hand sign is Rin, which is the hand sign responsible for the circulation of Sei. The second is Hei, which cloak's our body with Sei.
Then follows Toh enable us to reach a balance between solid and liquid, it allows us to walk or stand on water even letting us to stick to any surface as long as we infuse it with Sei. It sounded similar to how the head of the admins was standing on the ceiling upside-down at the tower.
Then comes Shu, which is able to make us heal other ninjas - though it is used by medical ninjas and special force ninja's. After that is Kai, which is the one that increase our physical strength, speed and endurance.
The sixth one is Jin, this one makes our perception strong to the point where one can tell the strength of his/her opponent by measuring their level of Sei.
Last but not least is Retsu and if I remember correctly the teacher said "we are able to use elements that surround us." By the way reminded me of how you are able to control lightning.
What I do not understand is why do we have to perform them accordingly to be able to use the skills each sign gives us? Even more bizarre is the fact that we will not be taught the Shu hand sign, and we can skip when we do the hand signs.
The teacher also gave us a task to meditate each day while holding up the Rin hand. In order to extract from our heart until we are able to circulate it throughout the body without the need of sitting and wasting our time focusing on it during a fight. This way we are able circulate it for a full day.
I can not believe you never told me that ninjas are always in a state of meditation, evens you. And to be honest it is kinda hard to be in a meditating state for every seconds and minutes.
Oh, when I was reading through a textbook in class, I found out that when ninjas
infuse the ground with their Sei they can detect other ninjas around them as well as people. The average distance a ninja can infuse the ground with Sei is stated to be about 29 meters squared depending on the level of Sei a ninja has.
No wonder I could not jump scare you nor prank you. Now knowing that you always infused Sei all around the castle so you can tell that everybody in the house is present and to be able to catch intruders entering the castle like last time.
Anyways for the remaining two weeks we we learned various skills and activities that will help with ninja missions and daily thing's ninjas do.
Well it is a shame father that this letter will be ending her. Since in a while we will be participating in the academy tournament.

"Prince how long do we have to wait?!" A loud yet sweet voice coming from behind the shoji.
He opens it to add. "Okay! Am out now." Raising a thumbs up in the air with an envelope in his other hand.
I hope that that this letter reaches my father. Am sure he is worried, so I hope it relief's that worry from his mind. Reiji thinks to himself.
"Reiji!" Kazuki warmly greets him.
"Prince." That sweet voice of Lia speaks while her hand waves at him.
"R…R…R" Hinate mummers with redness on her cheek.
"Guys thanks for the greeting, but I hope you remember the plan." He looks at both of them to reassure they know what his talking about.
Reiji continues. "We will use our new skills to beat those three spies and win the tournament! Okay!" He roars.
The two of them also roar in approval.
