Chapter 19 - Matt

While the demonic clone of Samael (the Lord of Demons) was busy preparing a sinister display, his divine clone was not idle either.

From the depths of the shadows, he too was gathering his forces.

The first hero he chose was Tony Stark, an arrogant genius.

But one Tony Stark alone was not enough to face the Lord of Demons.

After all, this being was someone who could seal and kill even great Chairman like the Ancient One and Odin.

Someone who could stand against such ancient monsters was certainly no ordinary creature.

How could a mortal human defeat a being who could erase stars, travel interstellar space with his body in absolute vacuum, and even rewrite reality?

The gap between a human and the avatar of a dimensional demon was beyond imagination.

Tony Stark had to evolve to a level far beyond the boundaries of common sense.

But he alone was not enough on this journey.

He needed many allies. The Avengers and other superheroes had to join him.

Meanwhile, the demons created by the Demon Lord and other supervillains were formidable enemies.

On the other hand, the goddess, as the representative of order and peace, was granting her blessing to more humans.

In the Marvel world, there were many options: flawless heroes like Steven Rogers (Captain America), Matt Murdock (Daredevil), or Professor X.

According to the goddess's foresight, Steven was not to be freed from the ice yet,

and Professor X had to be chosen at the right time.

So the only remaining option was Matt Murdock.

The goddess's eyes opened.

Her purple eyes shone like a starry sky, as if millions of galaxies resided in them.

With divine wisdom, finding Matt was not difficult.

The goddess could even see parallel universes—her eyes were not limited to one world.

As the avatar of the Lord of the Reincarnation Cycle, the goddess's Samael, though not on a multiversal level, possessed part of the "omniscient" authority.

---

In a dark alley, beside a trash can, a man lay covered in blood.

His red superhero suit was torn apart, and blood flowed from his wounds.

This man was Matt Murdock—known as Daredevil—and now, due to gunshot wounds, he was on the brink of death.

What had happened?

As usual, Daredevil was patrolling when he encountered a group of gangsters threatening some people in an alley.

He intervened and defeated them, but that wasn't the end.

It was all a trap. Just when he thought he had won, bullets were fired at him.

The very people he tried to save were actually members of Kingpin's group.

Still, even surrounded by Kingpin's forces, he wasn't defeated—Matt Murdock was a seasoned fighter.

But his wounds were deep, the bleeding severe, and exhaustion overcame him.

At last, in that dark and filthy alley, he collapsed.

Matt was just a mortal human.

He wasn't Superman—a god on Earth—or like Thor or Flash, endowed with superhuman powers.

He was merely a man with senses sharper than usual, not a body bulletproof.

Like any other human, he could be wounded, tired, and could die.

But was his life really supposed to end here, in this nameless alley?

As a hero backed by the world's support, he had a chance flowing in his veins far beyond ordinary people.

But he didn't know it.

The goddess, as a shrewd investor, knew exactly when to approach heroes.

She couldn't just appear out of nowhere and say, "You're the hero destined to save the world!"—that would seem like a scam.

She had to arrive at the perfect moment, when the hero needed help more than ever.

People were always grateful to their saviors.

---

Now let's look at the story from Matt's perspective.

Like every night, he wore his Daredevil suit and was ready to deliver justice in Hell's Kitchen.

By day, Matt Murdock was a kind and blind lawyer who fought for justice in court, and by night, he became Daredevil—a phantom punishing evil.

But tonight, luck wasn't on his side. Several bullets had hit his body.

Although they hadn't struck vital organs, the blood loss was severe.

If it continued, he would die.

"I've lost too much blood... If this keeps up..."

His mind was growing dim.

Sleepiness was taking over. He knew if he fell asleep, he'd never wake again—but resisting this feeling was impossible.

The warmth of death gradually surrounded him.

At that moment, the voice of a cold, inhuman woman reached his ears:

"Do you really want to die here, in this alley?"

The question snapped him back to awareness.

"No... I can't die yet!"

He gritted his teeth and replied,

"The path ahead will be hard and painful. Are you sure?"

Matt gave a bitter smile: "My life has always been full of pain."

"If that's your answer, my hero... then let me grant you power to reach your goal."

Matt vaguely felt the owner of the voice smiling—despite her voice being cold and emotionless.

Suddenly, his wounds began to close.

Endless energy surged through his veins.

His physical abilities, already beyond average humans, were now enhanced to a non-human level.

But the true gift was another ability he had gained:

Mortalitylessness.

Yes, Matt Murdock was now immortal. Without needing any explanation, it was as if he had always had this power.

The goddess had erased the concept of death from his existence.

She had granted him the most perfect and flawless immortality.

Now even if his body was destroyed—even if only a single cell remained—he would still live.

Even if his body and soul were completely annihilated, he would still live.

Even if the universe died of heat death, he would still live.

Even if he was erased from the timeline and reality, he would still exist.

Why? Because death no longer had meaning for Matt Murdock (Daredevil).

Perhaps he couldn't even be called human anymore.

Only entities on the level of Eternity or multiversal beings could destroy him.

And thanks to the divine veil of reincarnation, even Death hadn't noticed his transformation.

"This gift will help you on your path. This is our farewell. Next time, we will meet in person."

The voice gradually faded, as if it had never existed.

—"Wait!"

Matt shouted, but his savior had vanished—granting him power and disappearing without explanation.

—"So... she was a god?"

Matt whispered under his breath.

---

Elsewhere...

"Vice Samael, please tend to these gentlemen's wounds." (gentle smile)

"Whatever you say, Captain... but could you stop saying that with that creepy smile? I feel like you want to tear me apart."

"Oh? What did you say, Samuel Chan?" (her smile widened)

"Cough cough cough I said whatever you want Unohana sama." (his forehead was drenched in sweat)
