"Manasvin! Utpalaka!" – shouted Vatler as two serpent-shaped Familiars appeared, intertwining around each other to form a new Familiar – "Shakara!"
"It seems you intend to fight me."
Kojou glared at Vatler with narrowed eyes, clearly displeased with the other's actions.
Vatler smirked mockingly as he observed the entwined new Familiar, his body swaying lightly as if everything around him were just a theatrical performance for his amusement.
"That wasn't my intention at first, but I see no objection. It seems you are a worthy opponent to dispel the boredom I've felt for hundreds of years."
"..." – Kojou stared at Vatler and Shakara behind him, sighing in annoyance; all he saw before him was a child seeking some excitement on a dull day.
"As you wish." – With these words, Kojou's hand turned a glossy black with pulsating red lines – "Kiffa-Ater! Al-Nasl-Minium! Alrescha-Glacies!"
At Kojou's command, three Familiars appeared behind him: Alrescha-Glacies or Pisces Dodekatos or The Bewitching Princess of Azure Ice, resembling a mermaid with wings; another, a bicorn with glowing purple eyes, black skin, a purple fire-like mane, and glowing plate-shaped armor floating around its neck; and the last, a gigantic demon sword over 100 meters in length.
Each of these three possessed unique abilities: Alrescha-Glacies could manipulate water and ice, Al-Nasl-Minium controlled sound, and Kiffa-Ater wielded gravity manipulation.
But that was not all. Kojou's silver hair turned a shining gold, a silver mask appeared on his face, and golden lightning enveloped his body as he merged with Regulus-Aurum, a lion capable of generating and controlling electromagnetic energy.
The winds rose violently around Kojou and Vatler, and the scene expanded into a true nightmare. Vatler did not stop at Shakara; he began revealing his true level of mastery over his Familiars.
"Manasvin! Utpalaka! Shakara was only the beginning..." – said Vatler with a sinister smile, and immediately a new dark aura spread around him.
Suddenly, hundreds, no, thousands of intertwined snakes erupted from the ground and sky, moving in coordinated waves to form A Nest of Snakes. It was a writhing mass of creatures, each head opening its jaws wide, ready to devour anything in its path. The metallic screech mixed with cries of terror and astonishment filled the air, and some snakes began attacking Kojou's Familiars directly, attempting to consume them and recover any harm inflicted on Vatler.
At the same time, Ananda, the colossal tree piercing the clouds, rose into the sky, its branches brimming with gigantic snakes extending like deadly arms. Each branch acted as a devastating weapon, each snake capable of slicing, wrapping, and destroying, as if Vatler commanded a living army of nightmares.
"Indulge me, Kojou!" – shouted Vatler with mad joy and an insatiable thirst for battle.
The magical power radiating from Vatler was overwhelming in every sense, nearly matching Kojou's magical power, even though Kojou was using only 70% of his magical strength.
"I, Akatsuki Kojou, successor to the blood of 'Kaleid Blood', now release your constraints. Come... Eighth Familiar: Shaula-Viola!"
Answering Kojou's summon, a white tiger striped with black appeared in the sky. It was a man-eating tiger wrapped in purple flames, capable of manipulating poison, creating antidotes, and stealing magical power from other Familiars.
The tiger lunged at Ananda, sinking its fangs in, while the snakes surged to attack it simultaneously.
The sky blazed with purple and yellow whirlwinds as Shaula-Viola clashed with Ananda's snake-filled branches. The massive snakes wrapped around the branches attacked the tiger with astonishing speed, each jaw opening as if to devour everything in its path. But Shaula-Viola was no ordinary Familiar; the purple flames enveloping its body didn't just burn—they dissolved poisons and rapidly restored its strength.
Kojou raised his hand, releasing a stream of gravity through Kiffa-Ater, attempting to alter the snakes' trajectory and disrupt their attack lines. The airflow combined with gravity created a massive wave, pressing the snakes together, some branches collapsing under the weight, others cut by the electromagnetic lightning unleashed by Regulus-Aurum from Kojou's body.
At the same moment, Alrescha-Glacies unleashed a massive ice wave, covering half the battlefield, forming a wall of frozen water to restrict Anavatapta's branches. But the snakes did not stop; some vanished into the tree only to reappear from above with new attacks, making Kojou smirk coldly.
"I think this is far more fun than I expected..." – Kojou muttered, his eyes glowing red beneath the silver mask, as Shaula-Viola attacked relentlessly, biting and extracting poison from any Familiar in its way, stealing the magical energy of Vatler's snakes to feed itself.
Vatler, despite his Familiar's explosion of power, did not seem surprised. He raised his hand again, and suddenly a new Familiar emerged from the shadows: Shakara Prime, an evolved version of the snake nest, larger and denser, with thousands of heads writhing in every direction, ready to devour everything in sight.
Then he unleashed Ananda with even greater force; the snake-filled branches moved as if they were a single conscious being, each strike deadly, each head of Shakara Prime devouring any Familiar or attack, restoring energy to Vatler.
The battle escalated to unprecedented levels: Shaula-Viola fought with purple flames and poison, Kiffa-Ater tried to manipulate gravity to disrupt attacks, Al-Nasl-Minium sent sonic waves to disturb the snakes, and Alrescha-Glacies restrained water and ice to hinder enemy movement.
And Vatler? He laughed, as if the chaos he created were just a game, while Nalakuvera in the background added another layer of destruction, turning the city into a merciless cosmic war stage.
"You're annoying," – said Kojou, his crimson eyes glowing menacingly under the silver mask as Sadalmelik-Albus appeared behind him and charged at Nalakuvera. The metallic ant intended to expand its destruction zone while its role in Kojou's stage had ended.
Sadalmelik-Albus was a woman with slightly dark skin, a serpent's lower body, and the ability to manipulate time, restoring anything to its original state or to nothingness. Even Nalakuvera, a God's weapon, could not counter a drop controlling concepts.
Nalakuvera's metallic screams rose as Sadalmelik-Albus approached, moving with astounding fluidity as if walking on air, her serpentine half twisting in a terrifying manner. Once close, her dark hands extended over its metallic head, manipulating time around it, returning every pulsing limb and metallic edge to the moment before it moved, as if it had never existed.
Kojou stood firmly, crimson eyes blazing, electromagnetic lightning surrounding his body, observing his battle with absolute precision. Every Familiar moved in perfect coordination: Shaula-Viola burned enemies with purple flames, Kiffa-Ater redirected gravity, Al-Nasl-Minium distorted battlefield sounds, and Alrescha-Glacies controlled water and ice—all working as a flawless machine against Vatler's growing army.
But Vatler was unshaken, intensifying his madness with a wider grin, raising his hand again. "Oh... did you think that was all my power?" – he whispered in a velvety voice, as his body transformed, no longer human, becoming a majestic serpent several meters long – "Do not think you are the only one capable of merging with his Beast Vassal."
With these words, Vatler lunged at Kojou, mouth wide open, clearly intending to devour him in a single bite.
