The bus ride to the training camp was filled with excitement—well, for most of the class.
Some students were chatting loudly, eager for the summer training, while others looked more nervous, knowing that U.A. never did anything "easy."
Reiji, however, simply rested his head against the window, eyes half-lidded as he listened to the chatter around him.
[Training, huh? Let's see if they can actually push me.]
Arriving at the Training Grounds
After hours on the road, the buses finally came to a stop at the edge of a massive forest-covered mountain.
The students filed out, stretching and adjusting their bags.
Aizawa stepped forward with his usual tired expression.
"This will be where you spend the next few weeks training. You'll be living out here in the wilderness, under the guidance of—"
"THE WILD, WILD PUSSYCATS!"
A loud burst of energy cut through Aizawa's explanation as four colorful figures suddenly appeared in front of the class.
A woman with bright orange hair and cat-like features leaped forward, striking a pose.
"That's right, kids! We are the Pro Hero team, the Wild, Wild Pussycats!"
Mandalay, Pixie-Bob, Ragdoll, and Tiger all flashed dramatic poses, clearly loving their introduction.
Most of the students looked confused, while some—like Deku—were instantly excited.
"They're a famous rescue hero team!" Deku explained, eyes shining.
Reiji tilted his head.
[They don't seem like my kind of heroes.]
But before he could think too much about it, Pixie-Bob suddenly pointed toward the forest.
"And now, the real training begins!"
Then—the ground rumbled.
Thrown Into Chaos
Before anyone could react, a massive wave of earth exploded forward, sending half the class flying off the cliff's edge!
"WHAT THE HELL?!" Kaminari screamed as he tumbled down.
Reiji, already anticipating something chaotic, used Phantom Step midair, twisting his body to land smoothly on a rock below.
[Alright. Now things are getting fun.]
Deku, Bakugo, and Todoroki all landed well, but the rest of the class struggled to regain their footing.
Pixie-Bob's voice rang out from above.
"Your first task—make it through the forest! Dinner is at the lodge on the other side!"
Reiji smirked.
[A survival challenge?]
This was going to be easy.
The Monster Attack
As the class started running through the forest, the ground shook again.
Then—giant dirt monsters emerged from the trees.
Reiji raised an eyebrow as a massive, stone-like creature lunged toward him.
"Seriously? This is training?"
The monster's fist came crashing down.
FWOOOM!
Reiji didn't even bother dodging—his Hellfire erupted, burning straight through the creature's arm.
In an instant, the entire dirt monster melted into slag.
The rest of the class, still dealing with their own monsters, turned to stare.
"Uh…" Kirishima blinked. "He just one-shot it."
Bakugo clicked his tongue. "Tch. Showoff."
Todoroki, standing nearby, watched carefully.
[His flames… they're even more controlled now.]
Reiji stretched his arms, looking at the remaining monsters.
[This is too easy.]
Then—he disappeared.
Using Phantom Step, he flashed between the remaining dirt monsters, Hellfire tearing through them one by one.
By the time he stopped, the forest was quiet.
And the rest of the class?
Still fighting their own monsters.
Reiji sighed. "Are we done here?"
Pixie-Bob, watching from a distance, tilted her head.
"Hmm… this one's different."
The Training Begins
By the time the class reached the training lodge, most of them were exhausted.
Reiji?
Barely sweating.
As the Wild, Wild Pussycats explained the training schedule, Reiji leaned against a tree, listening with mild interest.
"You'll be pushed to your absolute limits in this camp!" Mandalay announced.
"That means we'll be testing everything—strength, endurance, technique, Quirk control!"
Reiji smirked slightly.
[Finally. Let's see what they've got.]
But before training could begin—a familiar voice cut through the air.
"KUROBAAAANE!!!"
A blur of motion, and then—a kid tackled Reiji's leg.
The class blinked in confusion.
Standing there, clinging to Reiji's leg, was a small kid with messy brown hair.
"Kota?" Deku said in surprise.
The boy glared up at Reiji. "I STILL DON'T LIKE YOU!"
Reiji blinked. "Huh?"
The kid crossed his arms. "You're a hero. I don't like heroes."
Reiji stared at him for a moment.
Then—he crouched down slightly.
"Cool," Reiji said. "I don't like kids."
The class froze.
"REIJI!" Momo hissed, horrified.
Todoroki sighed. "That's not how you talk to a child."
Kota gritted his teeth, glaring harder. "Tch. I don't care! I still don't like you!"
Reiji smirked. "Good. Means I don't have to waste my time being nice."
The kid stomped away, still grumbling to himself.
Pixie-Bob sighed. "You're not great with kids, huh?"
Reiji shrugged. "Not my problem."
Mandalay frowned slightly, watching him.
[This kid… he's not like the others.]
The League of Villains Moves
Meanwhile—far away from the camp.
The League of Villains was gathered in the shadows of a dense forest.
Dabi leaned against a tree, his hands in his pockets. "So, the brats are here."
Shigaraki scratched his neck, his voice low and dark.
"It's time."
Toga grinned, rocking back and forth on her feet. "Oooh, I can't wait to see him."
She tilted her head. "Do you think he'll play with us?"
Shigaraki's red eyes flickered.
"Kurobane's not like the others."
Dabi smirked. "Yeah. That's what makes this fun."
Then—they moved.
