Mandy nodded in agreement beside her, not forgetting to threaten Laura a bit. "Laura, being apart for too long can really make your feelings for each other grow distant, you know? Look at you now; you don’t have a job, and you’re still relying on William to support you. William works at a company, earns a hefty salary, and isn't bad-looking. Now that he's doing well, there are plenty of young and pretty girls going after him. Despite all of that, he still hasn’t divorced you, so you should be grateful.
From Mandy's point of view, she thought Laura spent her days at home living off William.
She looked down on Laura for it, and most importantly, she had discussed with him about Laura taking care of her two kids once they grew older.
However, Laura hadn't agreed to it yet. Although she didn’t like doing it, Mandy had to put on a show to persuade Laura before reaching her goal.
