A couple glared at each other as they accidentally kissed after being startled by a headless ghost. Serena quickly released her lips and looked away. She kept complaining in her heart because it was so embarrassing that she was scared and took it out on them by kissing. The ghost that had startled her earlier must have been laughing at her actually.
Serena swallowed nervously, her hands still around her husband's neck. "I admit, I'm actually scared."
"You're afraid that you'll accidentally kiss me. Did you deliberately invite me to play in a haunted house so that you could kiss me?"
"There's no way I'd pull that cheap trick just to kiss you! We could kiss on the Ferris wheel too!" Serena pushed a strand of hair behind her ear. "Honestly, I'm sick of haunted houses. I thought all the haunted houses I've been to weren't scary."
"But I like that you kiss me when you're scared." Asher moved his lips close to his wife's ear. "I wasn't scared because you kissed me earlier."
