"You've got some impressive taijutsu, kid. Based on your style, I'm guessing you're from the Hyuga clan," Madara Uchiha said, his arm fully regenerated. A flicker of approval flashed in his eyes.
"Just for that taijutsu alone... you've earned the right to face me. Tell me your name."
Hyuga Gakuya gave a small smile.
"Hyuga Gakuya."
"Hyuga Gakuya, huh? Good. From here on out, I'm going all out. I'll show you just how far my Sharingan can really go."
As he spoke, a surge of chakra exploded from Madara's body, tearing through the air like a violent storm.
"If this is going to be a battle between the Sharingan and the Byakugan," Gakuya said calmly, "then I won't use any of my other powers."
With that, he willingly regressed his Tenseigan to its earlier state—the Byakugan. His black pupils turned a glowing white. He had fully activated the Byakugan.
Madara's eyes narrowed as his Sharingan gleamed with menace. "Susanoo!"
A massive blue skeletal frame erupted beside him, rapidly taking form until it became a towering humanoid—the fourth stage of Susanoo.
The Susanoo raised its short blade and swung it down toward Gakuya with terrifying force.
But Gakuya didn't flinch. He simply raised one hand.
"Wind-Style Taijutsu: Rotation!"
Wind chakra burst from the tenketsu all over his body, forming a spinning green sphere that enveloped him completely. The blade struck the sphere with a thunderous metallic clang—but couldn't pierce it.
A moment later, the Susanoo's short blade shattered into fragments.
Madara frowned. "Not bad."
Without missing a beat, he had his Susanoo launch another attack. A massive chakra-powered fist slammed toward the spinning green sphere.
"Eight Trigrams Air Palm!"
Gakuya thrust his palm forward, releasing a barrage of wind chakra blasts from within the protective sphere. They collided with the Susanoo's fist midair, resulting in a thunderous explosion that shattered the earth around them.
When the dust settled, the Susanoo remained unscathed and continued its march forward.
Gakuya sprang into action, leaping out of the chakra sphere. His hands blurred as he unleashed his next move.
"Gentle Fist: Eight Trigrams One Hundred Twenty-Eight Palms!"
His body split into afterimages, unleashing a flurry of strikes across the Susanoo's body. Palm after palm landed in rapid succession—but barely left a scratch.
Madara burst out laughing. "Kid, those little love taps aren't enough to break my Susanoo!"
Gakuya smirked. "Oh? How about this, then?"
Chakra surged through his body again as he formed a rapid string of hand seals.
"Eight Trigrams!"
A massive Eight Trigrams symbol spread across the ground with Gakuya at its center, trapping Madara's Susanoo within its radius. A powerful force burst from Gakuya's eyes, pinning down Susanoo's limbs with an invisible pressure.
Madara's expression twitched. "That's not a technique from the Hyuga clan…"
Seizing the moment, Gakuya launched himself toward the immobilized Susanoo, chakra charging in his palm.
"Lightning-Style Taijutsu: Eight Trigrams Thunder Palm!"
His palm slammed into Susanoo's chest. A deafening crash rang out as lightning exploded outward, spreading through the entire construct and igniting its internal chakra.
Cracks appeared all over Susanoo's surface.
Madara's face darkened. He ramped up his chakra, trying to repair the damage.
"You think it'll be that easy to destroy my Susanoo? Think again!"
Light flared around the giant avatar, the cracks beginning to seal.
But Gakuya's Byakugan was already tracing the flow of chakra inside Susanoo, his gaze narrowing as he zeroed in on a weak point.
"There it is."
He vanished in a flash, reappearing in front of Susanoo again.
"Hah! You think you can get through me again? Foolish!"
Madara commanded the Susanoo's second hand to manifest a massive chakra longsword, slashing it toward Gakuya.
Gakuya twisted his body, narrowly avoiding the blade. At the same time, he gathered chakra in his hands.
Two blazing lion heads formed from fire chakra erupted from his palms and lunged at Susanoo.
One was slashed in half by the longsword, but the other latched onto Susanoo's arm.
Gakuya took to the sky and soared above Susanoo's head. His fist clenched tightly.
A colossal phantom fist descended from above, slamming into Susanoo with overwhelming force. The avatar couldn't withstand the pressure—it shattered with an earthshaking crash.
Madara landed hard on the ground, his expression unreadable.
"To think you could develop the Byakugan to this level… You really are a prodigy."
He paused for a breath, then his tone turned cold.
"But it's a shame you weren't born an Uchiha. Now you'll never be anything more than a stepping stone."
Gakuya couldn't help but mock him in his mind.
What, born into the Uchiha clan?

His chakra surged again—this time beyond all previous limits. An enormous, fully-armored Susanoo burst from the earth, towering into the sky and radiating a pressure that seemed to smother all who witnessed it.

He raised the perfect Susanoo's massive blade and brought it down in a devastating arc.
The air screamed. The sky itself seemed to tear.
But just when Madara thought he had finished him—
Gakuya's Byakugan shifted, transforming into a pair of scarlet Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan.
And then—he summoned his own perfect Susanoo.
A second colossal Susanoo rose to match Madara's, the two titans facing each other as the sheer weight of their chakra made the very air tremble.
Gakuya's Susanoo shimmered with a blue glow and wielded dual heavy broadswords. With a roar, it slashed down, clashing blade-to-blade with Madara's.
The impact shook the earth.
And with a single strike—Gakuya sent Madara reeling.
