Karna blurred forward again, golden light trailing behind him as he twisted midair, his fist wrapped in condensed solar energy. Veldora blocked with a forearm, laughing through the impact. The ground beneath them cracked like glass, the air trembling from the force.

"Not bad, Karna!" Veldora said, grinning wide. "You've got Reinhart's precision, Zalario's focus… and your father's flair for destruction!"

Karna smirked, spinning low and sweeping Veldora's legs—but the True Dragon barely budged, instead shifting weight and countering with a burst of controlled pressure that sent Karna sliding back across the dirt.

"Still relying too much on power," Veldora teased.

"Maybe," Karna replied, his tone playful but eyes sharp. "But power works." He snapped his fingers, summoning an array of glowing orbs around him—solar spirit flames taught by Ramiris, shaped with his father's magic. They flared brighter and shot forward like comets.

Veldora raised his hands to block, but the orbs curved, striking from all angles. The resulting explosion lit up the sky in gold and violet.

As the smoke cleared, Veldora stood unharmed but impressed. "Heh. You've really learned from everyone, haven't you?"

Karna landed a few meters away, flames fading from his hands. "What can I say? When your teachers are legends, you pick up fast."

Veldora's grin widened. "Then show me your best, nephew. Let's see if you can push me a little."

Karna's aura flared again, this time brighter—his energy humming like the sun itself.

Both blurred forward again, the sound of their fists colliding echoing across the training grounds. Each strike sent out small shockwaves, the dust spiraling around them like a storm.

Veldora ducked under a glowing punch and countered with a knee, only for Karna to block it cleanly, twisting his body to strike back with a sharp elbow to the ribs. The impact actually made Veldora slide back half a step.

'Tch… kid's getting sharper by the day,' he thought, grinning to himself.

Karna didn't let up; he weaved in close, his movements fluid, switching between martial styles like a dancer—bits of Reinhart's form, Zalario's discipline, and Ramiris' unpredictable energy all mixed into one.

Veldora parried another hit, thinking, Karna is truly impressive; so strong at such a young age. Each movement radiated precision, confidence, and raw power. I guess those are the perks of being a Dragonspritus…

The two clashed again, this time both grinning wide—teacher and student, uncle and nephew, both holding back just enough to keep the world from cracking under their fight.

The sky cracked open as Veldora roared, his magicules surging like a storm. Clouds rolled over Solara, thunder rumbling so violently that even the capital trembled.

Then came the shout—"BLACK LIGHTNING!"

The air split. A spear of pitch-dark energy laced with golden arcs formed above Veldora's hand. The sheer pressure of it distorted the horizon.

In the throne hall, I froze mid-sentence as the light dimmed around me. That magicule signature…

"VELDORA," I muttered, my eyes narrowing, and vanished in a flash of light. Karlos followed a heartbeat later.

Across Solara, the same reaction repeated. Reinhart, halfway through drilling soldiers, felt the energy and disappeared instantly. Ramiris dropped her half-eaten pastry, eyes wide, before teleporting too.

When I arrived, the sky above the training grounds looked like the end of the world. The beam had already left Veldora's hand. "VELDORA! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" I yelled, but it was too late.

The Black Lightning crashed down—straight at Karna.

Ramiris screamed, "KARNA!!" as the others appeared beside me, ready to move. I was seconds from entering Light Mode myself, when—

Karna smirked.

The golden armor burst into existence, gleaming like the sun itself. Kavach.

The lightning hit him squarely… and stopped. The air shook, the ground cracked, but Karna stood there, arms spread, the light from his chestplate blazing brighter than the darkness around him.

When the storm faded, he was still standing, completely unharmed.

He grinned up at us. "Did you guys forget I have this?" The armor pulsed with light; even the earrings glowed like twin suns.

Ramiris blinked in shock. I could only sigh, a hand on my forehead. "...You just gave me a heart attack, you brat."

Veldora laughed nervously, floating back down. "Hahaha… guess the training went a little overboard."

The air rippled.

Before either of them could react, a blinding flash filled the sky—my Light Mode activated, the world turning white for an instant.

BOOM!

Two loud smacks echoed through the training grounds as my hands connected squarely with both their heads. Veldora and Karna shot downward like comets, slamming into the ground and leaving twin craters in the dirt.

"STUPID IDIOTS!" I yelled, still glowing, my aura shaking the air. "You two almost vaporized half the kingdom! Do you even think before doing these things!?"

Dust rose from the impact zone. After a moment, Veldora's voice drifted up, muffled. "A-Ahahaha… point taken, Aniki…"

Beside him, Karna groaned, rubbing his head. "Ow! Dad, that actually hurt!"

"Good!" I snapped. "Maybe it'll knock some sense into that overconfident skull of yours."

Karlos whispered to Reinhart, "That's what happens when you spar near gods with parenting instincts."

Reinhart smirked.

Ramiris floated forward, her expression dark enough to make even the sun dim for a moment.

"Karna, what the hell was that?!" she snapped, her hands on her hips before whirling toward Veldora. "And YOU, Veldora—you overgrown storm hazard! Why would you use such a heavy attack on my baby boy!?"

Veldora, the mighty Storm Dragon, actually flinched. He threw his hands up immediately, sweat running down his temple. "W-wait, wait, Ramiris! It was just a spar! I didn't think he'd—uh—actually take it head-on like that!"

Karna raised his hands too, taking a small step back. "Mom, it's fine, seriously! I was totally okay. Didn't even scratch me, see?" He tapped his chestplate, the Kavach glinting proudly.

Ramiris turned to glare at him next, her wings twitching. "That's not the point! What if something went wrong, huh? Do you think your father would just stand there and watch you fry!?"

I silently took one big step backward, Karlos following me instantly. Karlos whispered under his breath, "Wise move, my lord."

Even Reinhart had subtly retreated a few meters, pretending to be interested in the clouds.

Veldora scratched the back of his head, chuckling nervously. "S-so, uh… apology accepted if I promise not to blast him again?"

Ramiris's eyes glowed faintly gold. "Not even a breeze!"

"Y-Yes, ma'am!" Veldora squeaked, saluting like a soldier caught red-handed.

"Ok, Ramiris, leave the poor guy some air. I mean, everyone is unharmed now." I said, trying to de-escalate the situation

Ramiris turned her fiery glare toward me so fast I almost regretted opening my mouth."Unharmed!? Do you see what he just did?!" she shouted, pointing at Veldora, who now looked like he wanted to evaporate into thin air.

I raised my hands defensively, keeping my tone calm. "Yes, yes, I saw it, but look—Karna's fine." I gestured toward our son, who stood there with his usual cocky grin, brushing off dust from his armor. "See? Not even a scratch."

Ramiris's expression softened just a little as she turned toward Karna. "Still… he scared me half to death," she muttered, her voice quieter now.

Karna smiled sheepishly. "Sorry, Mom. Didn't mean to make you worry."

I stepped closer and gently placed a hand on Ramiris's shoulder. "It's alright now, Ramiris. Everyone's safe. Veldora's learned his lesson, haven't you?" I shot Veldora a look.

He straightened instantly, nodding so fast his hair practically became a blur. "Yes! Lesson learned! No more black lightning unless specifically told by Aniki!"

Ramiris folded her arms but sighed, some of the tension finally fading. "Fine… but if you ever—"

"He won't," I said quickly, before she could start again. "Now, let's all relax before the grass around us turns into glass from your magic aura, alright?"

She huffed but nodded, her wings flicking once before she floated back beside me.
